I had a random thought about the WM 31 Main Event. It's been 8 Years since and still and always will one of my absolute favorite Manias. But Taker's feud against Lesnar in 2015 had some weirdness at the start when Taker attacked him at Battleground. I remember people asking why they did that way because it makes zero sense. Logically Taker could have attacked Lesnar in the WM 31 Main Event.
Just think about it what if Taker would have been involved also at the End of 31? Let's say Taker returns (never has the Wyatt Match that night) and lays down Lesnar. Rollins then comes out and wins the title! Mabye a bit too much of overbooking but i kinda ask myself how that would have been at the time?

I think that's the biggest reason they didn't do it, the potential overbooking. It would have also introduced confusion on if Seth and 'Taker were allied or something, or begged for an odd Taker/Seth vs Roman/Brock tag match.
It could have worked, yes, but they likely figured Seth's cash in was plenty, and that the Undertaker stuff could be saved for a later date.

Rollins swinging the WWE Title was a much better ending image than Undertaker kicking Beastie Boy square in the balls would have been.

I’d argue Undertaker should’ve just skipped 31 altogether. Wyatt/‘Taker was useless and Lesnar/Undertaker would’ve benefited from everyone thinking ´Taker was done only to come back deranged, old and a little bit fabulous in 2015.
