The WWE will ease people into buying pay per views. My guess is the first one they charge for is the Royal Rumble, then Wrestlemania next year.

If the plan is to charge $80 (or anything close to it) for a WWE PPV, I imagine the plan will end up being them trying it one time, seeing how many people aren't buying the show, and never trying it again. I love pro wrestling, but I cannot tell you how much you can f*** off if you want me to pay $80 for Hell in a Cell where only one or two matches even take place in the damn thing.

I wonder how many WWE fans would be willing to fork over $75 or $80 for a PPV after getting everything for $9.99 for a decade+ now? Also UFC treats it’s fighters like crap and woefully underpays them. No one is going to pay that much for WWE ppvs anymore. The genie is out of the bottle. You can't put it back in. People aren't going to pay for them anymore. And then the product loses interest cause people aren't watching anymore. People will be like, hey AEW is doing it isn't a good example. They do 4 shows a year, so they can charge a premium because of that. It's not like the WWE model of every month. I think a huge idea would be to go the opposite of PPV. Imagine the exposure the company would get if they put WM.only on broadcast TV like NBC. I feel like they could get 10 million viewers for both nights. Charge commercials, not during matches though. NBC benefits, WWE benefits, and the fans benefit (no paywall for the people that don't pay for Peacock)

Yeah selling PPV as a pro wrestling company in 2023, nobody smart would do it.

AEW does. But they only do 5 PPV’s per year.

No way I would buy ppv's every month. I don't buy AEW ppv's because $50 is too ridiculous for them. No way I'm paying $50 a month for matches I can see regularly on Raw and Smackdown for free.
I would only pay for Wrestlemania and maybe Summerslam, depending on the card.

I just couldn’t quite get the money together. Bit this does free me up to buy that Shoney's Big Boy lawn ornament I’ve had my eye on.
