Why don't they just make it a triple threat? Might be the only way to go. Then you have the same issue of ronda vs Becky vs Charlotte Where you needed Ronda to put over clean one on one and adding Charlotte from nowhere just made it mean less

Honestly if that's the plan that's a really short lived one. The accusations are gonna come back later ,with many more names involved Yeah it’s probably a disaster to have their entire hardcore fanbase advertise that a giant movie star is wrestling the longest running champion in modern history at Mania for them to non hardcore viewers. Probably going to really regret all this free publicity to giant swaths of people who couldn’t care less about Cody or his story…but know who the Rock is. So essentially none of what folks watch week to week matters? I mean that's true, it's one of the reasons I bailed around 2017, but it's an odd way to keep fans. That said, they're making so much money they assuredly don't care... But why would folks watching this shit all the time care about the $ they don't see?

I just heard that Brock Purdy is giving up his quarterback spot in the Super Bowl to Steve Young. Joe Montana says hi Montana played for the Chiefs so, "Whose side is he on?!"

Yeah it worked for the short term, but those “new fans” by and large did not stick around once Rock no longer had the belt. WWE is obsessed with screwing up long term plans for short term cheap nostalgia pops.

He's not a star! That's the primary point here, he's just a guy. And sometimes guys that aren't stars lose a lot, not everything needs to be referred to them as being a bitch. Who cares. If he's the main champ of Raw after Mania instead of a clearly better guy like Seth, Cody, Drew, Gunther, or Sami, then what's the point of countering Roman's 9 year reign anyways. He's not a star according to you. For plenty of other people he is. Plus it's not real. Their entire job is to MAKE stars

In the week they're trying to make everybody try to forget about that twat vince mcmahon making the biggest ever vince booking decision is certainly a choice
also f*** the rock, anybody who is unfortunate enough to follow his instagram can see he is completely detached from reality. He is basically more brand than person at this point #ZOA.... I say this as someone who used to love the guy

It's obvious that this decision was made because Cody isn't a big movie star like Rock, the big People's Champion himself.

This is what's confusing me here. If Cody's being taken off the logical path, why leave him on the show that said path runs directly through. Either A. He's there to explain why he's not facing Roman, which is gonna go over SWIMMINGLY I'm sure, B. He's there in case the backlash causes a swift about-face especially given that it's the day after the media event, or C. BRO IT'S ALL A MASSIVE WORK BRO AND FAKE INFO TO THE DIRTSHEETS BRO is in effect. B and C aren't the most appealing options but I'll take them over A. Do you think they book the talent for shows six days before the show? It's WWE. Historically they seem to get booked six HOURS before the show if they're lucky

Here's the thing, you know the moment The Rock said he was down for the match, WWE was always going to drop whatever they were doing so they could do Roman/Rock at Mania so I don't really know if I buy this being a Rock powerplay.
I honestly think that this was always going to be an option even with Cody winning the Rumble.

We'll get Rock v Roman this year and with no obstacles in his way, Cody will beat Roman next year. It'll be fine. It's not ideal but it hasn't been ideal since he lost last year.
