Don't involve someone's sexual assult as an argumentative piece on proclaiming why everyone is so dumb and you're so smart in knowing what will happen in a show before others, even when it is obvious that isn't the case. Come on man. This is probably the first thing that could unite people in not flinging trash at each other in the last few months.

Doesn't make anything I said any less true. But it's sad I've seen more people raking about the booking if a stiry on a fake fighting show than the fake fighting show being under criminal investigation. Just what they want you to do. There’s a way to say “I think it’s a possible work” without insulting posters. Oh there is... but that's really not what they wanted to do here and it's blatantly obvious. "I'm right", "No you aren't", 'F*** you" is the most common internet escalation you'll see... |

Would I be surprised if WWE invented a worked controversy to try and deflect one scandal with another? No. But it's also like trying to heal a bullet wound by stabbing yourself. Especially when you could just try to counter it with a storyline that just makes people happy instead of working them. That bullet wound also isn't going away.
Then again, I don't know any entertainment company outside of the video game industry that seems to have as much contempt for its audience as WWE does.

As much as this backlash makes things interesting, they’re really stuck by the way they did Friday. Cody said “I’m coming for you, but not at Wrestlemania.” It was crystal clear that he chose not to face Reigns. In kayfabe, there is no controversy. Unless Rock somehow doesn’t want to do Wrestlemania at all anymore (unlikely), they’ve made their bed and have to lay in it.

I mean pushing Cody aside for the Rock is dumb enough but what makes it worse is now we have to get Cody and Rollins again even though it's been done to death. I get they have to with Cody winning the Rumble but him against Gunther would be much better.

Even if they backtrack the damage is done to how Friday was booked Cody passed it to the Rock and left in a depressed huff and they stared down to end the show Even if they backtrack, the damage to The Rock's reputation is done (And he tripled down on this since so it's REALLY done) and they can't not look like clowns even if by some miracle they do backtrack and Cody wins at Mania somehow Because like... they could have just not done the easiest thing ever and then they didn't and everyone's gonna remember how much they f***ed it up so fast lol |
