What pisses me off even more is I still stand by my view that Sami should have dethroned Roman last year and thought Cody was the wrong choice in my eyes.
Cody wasn’t a terrible choice though….hes over huge. But not only did they shit the bed on Sami…now the double down on shitting the bed on Cody.

Cody wasn’t a terrible choice though….hes over huge. But not only did they shit the bed on Sami…now the double down on shitting the bed on Cody. Sami and Owens winning the tag titles was honestly pretty awesome in its own right, so it didn't bother me, but I do worry sometimes Sami's lost his chance forever. Sharing a huge moment with a dear friend is probably no silver medal to him, though. |

I mean for me, I long had a suspicion that WWE was dragging their feet on a lot of things with Roman cause of the Rock. That's probably why things going on now (though they can change or be swerved) didn't surprise me. As for the other world title... I get the idea in theory but it felt like the issue was more or less... they kept wrestlers who could have been bought as legit contenders away from Seth which felt like it hurt the value. We all know how great people like Nakamura and Finn are but they just hadn't been presented as serious contenders for the top title so I felt like that made the title a bit... cheaper? |

It's likely just a one-and-done thing for Cody to do and then after that... who knows? Everything about him and Roman and the Rock is kinda stuck in this unchartered waters situation, esp. as fan backlash with Rock strongarming himself into a match with Reigns just grows and grows. |
