Nothing like this where a guy bought a stake in the company and immediately booked himself in the top spot and upended the biggest card of the year's main event without a second's hesitation

We've seen guys book themselves to the top but never at the immediate expense of another match that's been built up this long with the main reason of just making themselves the star and putting themselves over. TNA Era Jarrett would be blushing at how f***ing crazy selfish this is lmfao

It's like Shaq, who I think is terrible on Inside the NBA even though he's one of the most charismatic players in NBA history.

Funny you mention Shaq, I see a lot of similarities with The Rock. Charismatic goat but both would rule the world if they could just make fun of themselves truly sometimes or let others do it and lean into it. Shaq is the worst part of Inside the NBA cause Ernie is like the dad who keeps everyone together but is lowkey funny as hell, Kenny knows the game but still laughs at his legacy in comparison to the other two and Chuck is just the funniest person on the planet naturally. All three of them can make fun of themselves and act like they're upset about it but it is funny to them, you can tell. Any of them get on Shaq just a little and dude acts like it is some giant grievance, just relax.

Yeah, like who cares. They just pulled off a massive upset. I'm not sure Ben Wallace had to pick up Shaq with one hand and launch him at Ron Artest but these things have layers to them.

Watching the Pistons win it all AND seeing Shaq and the Lakers get bitched out was the highlight of 7th grade.

Also him being all butt hurt about Dwight Howard calling himself Superman and getting all pissy about when the rest of the panel was talking about the way to stop the "Hack a Shaq" is to you know get better at making free throws which Shaq got all mad about because he was terrible at free throws hence that strategy being named after him.

So according to Scuttlebutt, The Rock is going to be taking on Roman at 'mania and that is set in stone, as it was part of the deal for Dwayne to join the TKO Board.

Apparently they don't want it to seem like The Rock took the spot of Cody, and they want to make the story make sense. Well, the horse has well and truly bolted, good luck with that.

When I go back I talk about those wrestlers, these wrestlers who not only built up wrestling but entertainment and movies, TV like Triple H, I ask myself what has Cody Rhodes done to build up wrestling. All these wrestlers like Karrion Kross, John Morrison, Pentagon, they all were on a show that was real television Lucha Underground and Cody wasn't. Either do Rock & Roman on Night 1 and Cody v Roman on night 2 or announce Rock as the enforcer for Cody v Roman. That’s the way out. Of course the risk of Roman getting injured during Rock v Roman is there but Roman has been survived these years as Champion.

Plus you have the story of the not so workhorse champion having to wrestle 2 nights in a row. He needs to look massively strong against Rock though if people aren’t going to Poo poo Cody beating him because he had a match the night before.

It does really feel like they don't understand that people KNOW Rock stepped in and shat on the story that was going on to puff up himself, and that so long as they manage to write in some kinda-sorta-maybe-it-makes-sense-ish reason for Cody to go for the silver medal instead everyone will come around.

I'm guessing on Friday Cody's going to do some, "Come on guys, you love Rock! Rocky... Rocky... Rocky... *whimpers*... Rocky..." promo to try to salvage things and the end result's going to be both nights of Mania ending on main events the crowd shits all over.
