Great idea! One corner can be The Rock and Meltzer. When Rock starts the match instead of going full force he just stutters around and somehow the ring is covered in trash and the place is a mess. One corner can be Cody Rhodes and Sean Ross Sapp. Cody is the favorite in the match but gets weirdly personal and aggressive out of nowhere, causing the fans to think "damn I want this guy to win but why is he so pissy right now?" One corner can be Drew McIntyre and Alvarez. Drew comes into the match hot but for whatever reason, keeps screaming "NXT WOMEN!?" at random times in the match. Nobody understands why. Last corner is Seth Rollins and Pete Select. There are banana peels everywhere, the crowd's favorite.  That's not even a bad crop job, SRS just actually has this weird black haze aura that follows him around wherever he goes like a '90s dungeon crawler trying to signal that he has a status effect on him. That is a thoroughly Kingsfield-ed man. |

Lol Bryan Alvarez went on Observer Live just now and said that while it’s nice that Dave heard back in the day that Rock didn’t mind being booed, he obviously doesn’t want to come across bad now as a media figure. In this case, Alvarez does have a point. The reason why Rock even has gone to the trouble of sauntering his way back to WWE in the hopes of being received as a conquering hero was because of his flagging public image starting with Black Adam bombing. Honestly, I'd go a little earlier, even, with Jungle Cruise bombing even worse and his public feud with Vin Diesel, though that one also just Vin look bad, too. Black Adam definitely put a big bow on it all. |

Honestly, I'd go a little earlier, even, with Jungle Cruise bombing even worse and his public feud with Vin Diesel, though that one also just Vin look bad, too. Black Adam definitely put a big bow on it all. Wasn't it the Vin Diesel feud where it was revealed that Rock (if not both of them) had clauses in their movie contracts where they couldn't lose fights? |

That "long-gamer" comment doesn't sound like something that's taking place in about 8 weeks or so. I'm thinking he will say he's challenging Roman to Wrestlemania and then he might pause for dramatic effect and then say 41. Tomorrow can't come soon enough. Whatever it is, good or bad, I just want them to get it over with at Thursday’s press conference. The last five days have been exhausting as a wrestling fan and the discourse is only getting more toxic. If it’s just Rock-Reigns and Rhodes-Rollins, announce it. If it’s Rock-Rhodes-Reigns, announce it. I just don’t want them to stretch this out to, like, Elimination Chamber because they’re the kind of idiots who think all press is good press. |

If they try to stretch Roman/Rock out to next years Wrestlemania they’re tripping balls.
1) who even knows what the WWE will look like by next Wrestlemania….civil settlement will be a massive payout, who knows who else will get implicated in Vince’s raping, not to mention anything else crazy that has yet to come out.
2) the Rock and Roman both very well could be injured or otherwise by next year
3) there really going to try to stretch out the head of the table BS for an entire year when both guys will probably only show up every few months by the anyways.
I just don’t see it. Especially since they changed the titles of clips to sound better for the Rock. He’s going to face Roman at WM. This is pro wrestling: ego and nepotism always prevails..

I still stand by my claim Triple H is booking this in a way that is getting Cody more sympathy as I doubt he's personally happy that executives with no wrestling experience are booking things

Honestly in light of the Ashley Massaro stuff I kind of find it hard to even care at this point. Feel like the real standout of the press conference will be someone asking about it and Triple H giving an incomprehensibly bad answer again.
