WWE social had something up where Rock once again teases the long game. I’m still not sold if they’re changing anything, but part of me is now wondering if it’s gonna be “oh, Roman, you thought I meant I wouldn’t challenge you at this wrestlemania? I meant next wrestlemania. Rock’s your opponent next year. This year, I’m finishing the story and Rock is the ref.”
Silly way to get there either way.

They're gonna end up putting each other in a headlock by the end of the week, I guarantee it WrestleMania 2000's main event had a McMahon in every corner, WreestleMania XL's main event is gonna have a wrestling journalist in every corner! Great idea! One corner can be The Rock and Meltzer. When Rock starts the match instead of going full force he just stutters around and somehow the ring is covered in trash and the place is a mess. One corner can be Cody Rhodes and Sean Ross Sapp. Cody is the favorite in the match but gets weirdly personal and aggressive out of nowhere, causing the fans to think "damn I want this guy to win but why is he so pissy right now?" One corner can be Drew McIntyre and Alvarez. Drew comes into the match hot but for whatever reason, keeps screaming "NXT WOMEN!?" at random times in the match. Nobody understands why. Last corner is Seth Rollins and Pete Select. There are banana peels everywhere, the crowd's favorite. |

I did it. I finally finished the story. I caught up to the end of the thread! Now I know how the people who missed the initial 12 hours of the Muffin Scrum felt. The best parts of these threads is when it gets to be hundreds of pages, our beloved Malibu makes their way through the whole thing. They must finish their story each time. |

Can Dwayne commit to a full time schedule? This would be as much of a dare at this point, but if this can pull off one match a month between 40 and 41, would this guy honestly look better? Probably not, but I dare Johnson to actually commit to a schedule like that if he wants the strap. |

I just wish this was purely about storylines rather than "meta" stuff. Even Cody losing last year wasn't as meta as this.
Rock mentioning "the long game" a lot makes me think that regardless what happens it's not going to be the "Rock beats Roman at WM40 and gets cheered and celebrated" story that initially they probably wanted to go with when Rock signed. There's obviously some twists and turns that'll happen that we have no idea about. Like, one option I see that I hope doesn't happen is Rock beating Roman for the belt, goes heel and then Cody eventually beats him for the title. I highly doubt it but hey it's an option, we don't know. Either way meta stuff is weird. I just want us spending time on storylines.
Like, who's gonna beat Gunther. Lets talk about that. When do you see him losing that belt? Who's going to be built up to defeat him? That's the talk I wanna hear about.

If Rock wanted to show he's committed to any kind of wrestling schedule he coulda just like been in the Rumble and won. People would have been mad but less so then him popping up a week after the Rumble like "Wrestlemania main event plz :3 "

That "long-gamer" comment doesn't sound like something that's taking place in about 8 weeks or so. I'm thinking he will say he's challenging Roman to Wrestlemania and then he might pause for dramatic effect and then say 41. Tomorrow can't come soon enough. |
