God, I hate to say this but like...they may have accidentally fell into something more interesting than Cody vs. Roman straight up? Night 1: Rock and Roman vs. Cody and Seth. Seth and Cody win. Night 2: Roman w/Rock vs. Cody w/HHH (or Seth). Cody wins after Seth, Sami and Jey neutralize the threat of Rock, Solo and Jimmy. Night after Mania: Rock assumes control of The Bloodline from Roman and turns into a mega heel. Roman turns babyface and you get Roman vs. Rock next year with some actual on-screen stakes and story. Maybe this is what the dude meant by "long gamer?" Or the long game was playing Cody out of his main event. Who knows. So the WHC is not defended at Mania? That would be awful for it’s optics

If you are going to lean into Rock being a heel and he’s got some time on his hands to stick around, why not have him cost Cody his match vs Roman at Mania somehow and be the biggest heel of all time? Would they dare do it? I think they might. Because whoever wrote that finish would go to prison for crimes against humanity

That would be awful for it’s optics I should have clarified - in my scenario, you get WHT on Night 2 - Seth vs. Drew vs. Sami.

Because if I typed out what I would want to do to anyone who actually booked that finish I'd be on 4 different government watchlists. ‘I love that energy!’ - The Rock

As far as neutralizing the Bloodline…Jey and Sami need to help out and hopefully Trips makes a call to Tony Khan and borrows Dustin for the weekend.

Because that's how this shit goes all the time? Fans want to cheer the dude anyway. Hogan turned face against the nWo the night of Mania 18 and was in Red and Yellow a week later. Roman asking for forgiveness and turning babyface isn't going to be hard to do.

Heels have literally attempted murder and done other way worse stuff and been faces weeks/months later. And people wouldn't have to cheer him. They can boo if they want. I think when he goes face he's going to be mega over though as long as he drops the title first.

"Decision made... and then remade, but actually made now!" It was a huge f***ing mistake, but I did kind of love Cody Rhodes channeling his inner Brandi storming on that stage. They at least tried to play it off like Rock/Roman were planning this main event.

I wouldn't cheer for him and it wouldn't make sense for people to cheer him now but he is so dominant that he is going to be cheered anyways. It's the same thing as Drew, they're such assholes that a big part of the crowd can't help but like them. People would go insane if he was gone for an extended time and came back to not reclaim the bloodline but dissolve it entirely. As long as you don't imply that he is coming back to do this shit all over again, he would be a mega face.

And have Rock orchestrate a big beatdown on Roman with the Bloodline (Solo, Jimmy, maybe Jacob Fatu and/or Tama Tonga if they get signed) to write him off.

I didn't think he would allow it because of his ego but tonight proves that as long as he is on board, he can become a way bigger asshole than Roman. He might be already and the other guy has cheated to win for what feels like a decade.

The only thing I did not love is Roman following Rock.
Like, Roman has been booked as the leader for years now and just seemed to auto fall in line when the Rock showed up
