In retrospect, and especially after Seth's promo on Raw tonight, Wrestlemania XL seems like it's gonna be the Avengers Endgame to Wrestlemania 39's Infinity War in terms of Cody's story. I want them to involve EVERYONE at this point. Get Owens involved, he’s got a score to settle with Roman, Get Miz involved, nobody’s won a belt from Reigns since him six years ago, and he knows what it’s like to get your spotlight stolen by Dwayne, get Randy and Jey and Knight and everyone else in here, I want a whole squad backing up Cody. I really don’t want to get too far ahead of myself but Stone Cold showing up to beat Rock’s ass one more time and dragging him away on the ATV would be a blast.

I think they’re setting up that the chickens are going to come home to roost, for Roman and the Bloodline. They'll try to pull their typical shenanigans, but guys like Seth, Sami, KO, and Jey will put a stop to it. Cody wins and we get a big celebration to end Mania.

And then the next night, Rock assumes control of The Bloodline, shows up once every few months and Roman has to kill Thanos next year. Or Rock turns babyface again at the end. Something’s gonna give there.

Something’s gonna give there. Rock takes over the Bloodline and basically just orders a public execution of sorts to Roman for failing the family and that's it for him for the time being. Then the build to WM41 with Roman vs. Rock happening for real, but with a face Roman looking for redemption/revenge versus heel Bloodline high chief Rock.

It honestly feels like the right call to keep Rock heel for it. Heel Roman beating the babyface Rock feels kinda anticlimactic at this point.

I gotta say, tonight really elevated the storyline. I don't even care about all that stuff that happened over the past 2 weeks. Like I said, Cody recovered and now he's going in there with Seth, he's going in there with more than last year. It's great. Yeah, props to Seth and Cody. They took everything I questioned about this angle and launched themselves over it. This is shaping up to be a classic Mania build.

Watched that Seth promo and after that I don't know how if you have even like a base understanding of storytelling you could possibly have Cody blow it at this point. Wouldn't shock me if they do, but in any reasonably written story that would be the, "Yeah, we're in the endgame now," point.

Hardcore Holly makes the run in to save Cody from the Bloodline, 20 years after he won the WHC at Mania to recreate his end-of-show celebration with Cody.

that said, would be the most russoiest and stupidest thing ever if Seth betrays Cody. I was thinking that Seth would cost Cody but I liked that they mentioned the interference

Do we end Mania 40 with the Mania 20 celebration but with Cody & Sami? The two real architects of the Bloodline's downfall.

Sami and KO helped in the match last year, but Cody was still outnumbered. Cody basically needs 3 (Seth, Jey, Sami) to help neutralize the Bloodline (Solo, Jimmy, Rock) this year.

Cody needs R Truth. It's the only way.
