I imagine Rock / Roman will be too short and gimmicky for the crowd to really turn on it.

Now, if they do Seth / Cody, that I see people just relentlessly shitting on. There's no appeal in that match at all at this juncture, you don't really want to root for either guy because win or lose Cody is in a worse position coming out of it, and even just the tease of it had people furiously doing, "No!" chants in response.

I think they’re gonna do a Bret/Yoko/Hogan retread - Reigns cheaply beats Rock, then Cody comes out and beats Reigns in an impromptu match. It would keep Roman looking strong so Cole can jizz his pants about how he’s the GOAT, and Cody wins the title for the first time (though looks like an opportunist chickenshit in the process), everybody’s happy! Sort of.

Even if the above scenario plays out it’ll be the biggest storyline blunder since Starrcade 97. If the above doesn’t happen it’ll arguably be the biggest storyline blunder of all time.

Cody is Josh Allen. Extremely likeable, talented guy who has a rabid fanbase. Unfortunately, the incompetence of others around him ruin what should be a successful run on top of a company. As a result, he really hasn't won shit.

Not to mention, a side effect of them denying Bryan chances is that they never had him reject one. He was always fighting. But because Cody won, he had to make a choice to f*** himself over. No matter what you do now, the Cody character is somehow already a bigger bitch than Bitchasaurus for Christian.
