I think they should remake everyone's favorite, WrestleMania 9, but it's in reverse with the up and coming wrestler being the one to win after the older megastar loses.

Cody runs out to help The Rock, who is struggling to walk up the ramp.

Paul Heyman says Roman Reigns challenges Cody, which gives him the opportunity to beat Reigns.

Currently on a holiday in Barcelona and woke up to the internet exploding.

I don’t have an issue with Rock vs Roman, if they want to do it then whatever. But it’s asinine to have Cody win the Rumble again and just go “Nah I’ll let Rock take it instead”. Asinine stuff,

Unless they do Rock vs Roman on Night 1 and Cody vs Roman on Night 2, I really don’t see why this was necessary.

I don’t watch current WWE but always keep up to date so I don’t have a stake or are disappointed etc so if it was a business decision or story decision I could understand it but at this point they had a logical story that people were invested again, Wrestlemania is the selling point rather than any one performer so the only thing I can think that they think they’ll get massive mainstream attention and some extra casual viewers?

I get those people who want to try and justify the time and energy they’ve sunk into watching. I’ve done it myself in the past but Cody finishing the story at wrestlemania by beating the mega heel Roman was IT

Doing a 3 way, having Cody win at EC, it’s subterfuge to get Cody extra support for when he does get the Main Event (As if he wasn’t hella over) whatever scenario you want to dream up isn’t it

If Cody passes up Roman to choose Seth on Raw then I don’t know what the heck WWE are doing. Roman is the choice no one else. Fans know this is the story not winning the secondary world title from the man Cody beat 3 PPV’s in a row in 2022.

I still won’t believe it until Cody chooses Seth. And if WWE were smart they would stay the heck away from doing that right now and wait. Either way it’s going to make Cody, Seth & the world title look bad when they are already struggling for credibility.

I'm guessing the subject will come up at the press conference and Triple H will basically respond with, "Get over it, suck my shit, I am writing the best at wordses." Then Heyman will probably talk about how Seth's belt is a useless piece of trash and anyone who touches it should be neutered which everyone including Seth will nod in agreement with.

I'm half expecting Cody to beat Seth, and Priest cashes in right away, leading to a year of Cody feuding with the Judgement Day.

It also becomes what's next for Roman? Like legit if things go how it's expected, you're basically banking on Solo being super over or you're waiting on Melo/Trick/Bron to be ready no?

I’m in one of those moods where I acknowledge I’m posting like a wacky person, but part of this is also the fact that I spent good money on one of those on location packages because I was expecting one thing and they’ve done the worst possible thing.

What's worse is that Cody should not win that title. It should not be the first "world" title he wins in WWE. It would cheapen it when he does beat Roman. The only way to end a Cody/Seth match for the Consolation Trophy is having Priest make it a 3 way somehow and win it there. Have Rollins take the pin, but Cody doesn't win that title. 

If Cody wins that title and the announcers talk about him realizing his dream while he has tears in his eyes would be beyond cringe, and an insult to his character.
