He still tried to compare it to Roman and that title, and that is not comparable, not right now, and maybe not ever. It's not the same belt, and the storyline with Cody and Roman supersedes everything Seth was trying to gas up. "We don't need Roman" is bullshit, Cody needs to beat him at this point or he's never going to hear the end of the Bitchalla allegations. They've done their damndest to make this title look like it matters but the fact of the matter is it's the third world title because Roman wouldn't lose for three years, that's what it is, they can put a fresh coat of paint on it all they want, for me personally, all it does is breed apathy, and it's ridiculous at this point and until Roman drops the belts especially, that it's a debate over who to choose. The crowd vehemently rejected Seth's idea at the onset of the promo for a reason. The crowd rejected the idea at the start because they have invested in Cody’s story being tied to the WWE Title and to Roman Reigns, not because of the legitimacy of Seth’s title. If Punk had won the Rumble and cut the same promo the crowd wouldn’t have been sour on Seth’s idea of Punk challenging Seth. And that’s fine if you have personal apathy about it. Tastes are subjective and your mileage may vary. I was pushing back on the idea that the audience “at large” as you said doesn’t accept it as a legitimate world title. Roman’s is largely seen as one world title at this point too and this is the second (just like Brock’s undisputed title in 2002 was really seen as one world title and Triple H’s Raw as the second). Maybe so but Punk vs Seth was already planted as a seed, Roman vs Cody is the other I just think them gassing up the belt as equal to Roman's when it's not even a year old doesn't work, that's all I'm saying and I think that's very fair to have the opinion of, it's how I feel, I think it's dumb. |

In terms of the booking, it didn't make sense to me at all, in terms of Seth I'll echo what others said in the thread and said it came off a bit brash and heelish I got the intent, I didn't like the execution like some others clearly did. |

The working man's title...Vince Russo..David Arquette...
I know all titles have bad spots but that
hasn't been the workers title since NWA officially became WCW.

There’s a difference between “It’s always a possibility” and “IT’S DEFINITELY HAPPENING”, and a lot of this seems to come off as the latter. |

Judging by that last Solo thread I'm the last remaining fan of his on here but here is how you do it. Cody wins at Mania with either Rock as an enforcer/ref/etc., shows up the next night on Raw distancing himself from the Bloodline and focusing on the WWE title. We go back to two main titles, Roman is on the show too since it is the Raw after mania and Solo/Fatu beat him down. All of y'all and most people seem to be tired as hell of Solo so lean into him being the big heel that Roman can come back and get revenge on while acknowledging (lol) the shit he did as the head of the table. If Roman doesn't want to come back and this is it, give the rub of Solo/Fatu taking him out for now and if you need a monster cocky heel there's always balloon man Okada with Paul Heyman. |
