So does this technically go in the record books as an individual WWE Championship and Universal Championship reign for Cody? 🤔 This would count as individual reigns as both championships are still active even tho there’s only 1 belt. Even if they drop the Universal tonight Cody would still have a 1 day reign |

I am under the strong impression Cody is both Universal Champion and WWE Champion, especially since they harped about Roman's, well, reign length in the past, something that was specifically the Universal title first by a wide margin.

On the WWE site it goes down as Cody being the Universal and WWE Champion. Wish Rock never said the line about never holding that one because I feel we're stuck with this odd situation of one belt that represents two titles.

I don't know if the Universal Title is just gone or what, it's still two blts and two different reigns and lineages, but there's only one belt now
I mean it'd benefit the WHC in some way but it still feels like... weird, almost cheap in a way, to keep splitting these belts up, making new belts, and then just absorbing them back into each other

Cody Rhodes is the Omega Bitch. The end to which all bitches are inevitably marching. Dude fights through a torn pec, wins the Rumble, spends months talking about finishing the story, gameplans around Roman's interference, and he still gets knocked the hell out from being lightly poked in the neck.
