For anyone feeling super despair rn, stepping away for even a little bit is really good for the mind. I gave up after WM39's finish cuz that was the point it hit me WWE is never gonna really change. At its core, their booking will likely always be built around getting people's hopes up then dashing them to catch people looking sad in the crowd. It was tough to quit something that's nearly a lifelong regular habit and while I miss the regular "get together and shitpost" deals on Mondays, Fridays, and PPV nights, I feel like there's a lot less wrestling stress which is good for something that's supposed to be escapism.

Did you not just see what happened? Cody Rhodes said he wanted Roman’s belt but he wasn’t going to do it at WrestleMania, then walked out of the ring when The Rock showed up. How much more clear does it need to be? The main event is Rock-Reigns for the belt and Cody’s best-case scenario is challenging for the consolation prize belt. NOTHING ABOUT THAT SAID IT WAS FOR THE TITLE. And again, Elimination Chamber is coming up. Roman isn’t working Elimination Chamber. He has never been scheduled to work it. He isn’t on the show. They just told you what his next match is. They didn’t do that to then announce another match in between it. |

You can't just take your rumble win and cash it in earlier or some shit. To my knowledge it has to be at Mania. The best case scenario is that Cody beats up Seth who is barely able to walk. What's the point? Why would the rumble winner suddenly get their title shot a month or two early instead of what the rumble match is specifically for, a title shot AT WRESTLEMANIA? Are you stupid? Not only that but even IF he won it at EC (which wouldn't be very satisfying, less so with Rock's help) what does Cody do at Mania? Who's he going to fight on one month's notice as a hot defense? How does that challenger even get established if the Chambers already took place? It's stupid. |

Man, I haven't been this upset with a WWE booking system since, oh, since last year's WM when Cody lost. These ***** are so damn dumb at times. This is stupid. I have a hard time believing they are this stupid. It is pure cope but I do not believe this is actually how it can go down. I spent the whole damn year saying relax the Cody/Roman match will happen and now we get this bullshit. This harms the entire roster, I don't wanna see this shit. |

If WWE doesn't announce in a press release in the next few days that Cody v Roman is happening in Perth at EC then Cody looks like a complete idiot. There is no way in kayfabe he can choose to face Seth and duck Roman unless he already knows he's getting the match earlier instead and new exec Rock helped make the match happen hence their agreement/handshake. The way he said "but not at Wrestlemania" is giving me hope that's the case and he beats Roman at EC probably with Rock as ref/enforcer to deal with Solo/Jimmy. Cody wins and Roman blames Rock leading to their Mania match. That's the ideal scenario and maybe it's just copium wanting to believe that's what's happening because if he chose to completely duck Roman and that's not happening at EC or WM he looks terrible. There's no way around it. What does Cody do if he walks into Mania as champ? Unification match with Rollins, title v title a la WM6 with Gunther or inserted into Rock v Roman as the latter wants his rematch. |

Cody is always getting the big numbers on ratings

To not have win at WM against roman feel like undermining your own efforts

If Cody didn’t win the Rumble, then they could have avoided this mess. I hope he doesn’t challenge Rollins for the consolation title. Cody winning that one and then crying as he looks to the sky will be cringeworthy. Either he beats Roman or keep him away from another other title match. Do Cody/Orton at Mania. Anything other than Cody/Seth.
