Honestly, I’m starting to think that HHH didn’t book Mania Sunday I still maintain HHH was given Night 1 as a thank you from Vince. And from Night 2 Vince took back over. Like seriously, y'all pointing the finger of blame at the wrong person. I've pointed it at HHH until we get confirmation it was Vince's doing, and that includes RAW tonight If that was all HHH, then he's just as bad as Vince, if it was Vince... that's no better. No option is good and it sucks lol

If the top babyface can't go over the top heel in the main event of WrestleMania, especially a babyface as hot as Cody Rhodes, then why should I give a flying f*** about the WrestleMania main event?
WWE would have Shawn go over Steve Austin via HHH interference if it were booked in 2023. Because "Heat" is the only thing that counts in WWE booking.

I think Hunter checked out once Vince showed up for Cena's return. He'll be there until he gets his merger payoff and he's gone. HHH getting the merger payoff, bouncing, and buying out The NWA

Also, can we talk about how Triple H's promo to start Raw was basically a Dixie Carter "everything's fine" post from the skeleton crew days of TNA? Like obviously WWE is in no financial peril, but it was clearly a bad attempt at rallying the troops?

You would likely be right. SRS was pretty adamant during the Fightful stream that Vince is backstage in gorilla now, and meddling with creative again. Bayley was supposed to escort Damage CTRL to the ring tonight, but she was pulled from the plans at the very last minute (apparently right before they were supposed to go out there). SRS has also been pretty stubborn in saying Vince is not in charge of creative... but he kind of gave that that's the official word from WWE. I also saw somewhat tweet that they were sitting behind the production staff and they were given 3 separate run downs in the first hour of Raw. Like I have criticisms of Triple H. I think he way too often tries to push people as cool badasses, and I don't think he really sees the value in variety on the show (at least not without a Dusty or Ryan Ward with him), and I think he also at times tries to play too much into the surprise debut tactic too much (again I don't buy the recent narrative that so many people were brought back to add depth to the roster when most of the people brought back... aren't really used recently), but the show just doesn't feel like a Triple H show to me. Hence why I was pretty reserved on saying much. I had my suspicions Vince might be back running shows again, and I wanted to wait and see how things panned out tonight just in case, but f***, what happened tonight reeks of Vince micromanaging the show. The way the script changed multiple times, that should raise immediate red flags of Vince possibly being back.

Pwinsider now reported that Vince rewrote a bunch right before air…and during the show. And even took the headset from HHH during the show to take full control. Morale sank like a rock tonight backstage.
It’s all over. Back into the toilet forever.

With how the new owners have treated talent in the UFC, you have to imagine a lot of the roster are worried about their futures. Justifiably so.

Well, I will say this in regards to Triple H, because Vince writing shows again would mean he lied when he assured everyone that he was in charge of creative decisions. Regardless of whatever the case is, he's damned if he was and damned if he's not. Not a good look either way.

I posted this in another thread but I'll repeat it here that Vince 100% booked everything on that Raw.
A telltale sign is a major Vinceism is back.
During the last decade+ of the Vince era, every single backstage interview began with "Please welcome my guest at this time...." Every. One.
Then, once Triple H fully took over, since last summer it went away almost entirely, only resurfacing at max once per show when an episode had a bunch of backstage segments and they wanted to vary the intros a bit.
Tonight, every single backstage interview segment began with word-for-word bar-for-bar "Please welcome my guest at this time."

News sites are reporting the same thing, and are saying there's been a huge morale decline since Mania, maybe even before. William Regal especially made like the worst decision, literally jumped back the second he could with HHH in charge and the second he did, Vince wormed his way back, and now it seems to be The Vince Show again or damn near close to it... hope he had another clause in his contract, he might need to use it very soon lol So many talents that also got re-signed solely because HHH wanted them also might be nervously tugging a collar right now... this isn't good for a lot of people, let alone the in general booking and presentation of the product.

I was messaging my lapsed fan friend saying HHH is the new booker, things are different now, you should watch Mania it'll be the best main event in years, HHH doesn't book just to anger us!
The only bigger L than mine this weekend was Cody.

Another hint that VKM was running could be inferred from the show being the absolute drizzling shits.

Asuka sending out that tweet about the women's division being boring and awful sure looks more like a shoot now.
There were rumors yesterday morning that Asuka was originally set to win her match at Mania, but it was changed at the very last minute. Yes that little girl's mother had passed away, but apparently it wasn't Sunday morning like reported (and WWE wants you to believe), it was two months ago.
Its also been widely reported that Vince doesn't like non English speakers going over at Mania, because he sees it as an AMERICAN event. And nothing is less American than speaking anything less than 100% fluent English in his eyes.
Maybe Hashtag can confirm or deny this as well, but someone at the event mentioned that during the commercial break while Seth Rollins was making his entrance and in the ring, the script was changed, and Seth was told and got visibly pissed off, saying this was bullshit off mic.
Fightful also mentioned that Bayley was supposed to escort Dakota and Iyo to the ring (which would have likely continued to plant the seeds of them breaking up), but she was pulled at the very last minute, like right before they went out there. If that's the case, then Dakota and Iyo are likely toast. Vince had no desire to call up either, and actually had fired Dakota because he thought she was too old. And he also thought Iyo didn't need to be called up because "we already have Asuka" and was content to let her rot away in NXT until her deal expired.
