I posted this in another thread but I'll repeat it here that Vince 100% booked everything on that Raw. A telltale sign is a major Vinceism is back. During the last decade+ of the Vince era, every single backstage interview began with "Please welcome my guest at this time...." Every. One. Then, once Triple H fully took over, since last summer it went away almost entirely, only resurfacing at max once per show when an episode had a bunch of backstage segments and they wanted to vary the intros a bit. Tonight, every single backstage interview segment began with word-for-word bar-for-bar "Please welcome my guest at this time." Another hint that VKM was running could be inferred from the show being the absolute drizzling shits. </insert Chris Daniels' hand here> "Now, Arthur..."

There's no bag to fumble when Vince rips it out of your hands.

posted in the sales thread but posting here as well Per Meltzer on WOL Triple H's role in creative is now basically busy work. Endeavor wanted Vince in charge and that's what's being done

Also, can we talk about how Triple H's promo to start Raw was basically a Dixie Carter "everything's fine" post from the skeleton crew days of TNA? Like obviously WWE is in no financial peril, but it was clearly a bad attempt at rallying the troops? Felt like he pinched it from a rah rah NXT speech "WE ARE WWE"

I don't believe for one minute that Trips has ever had full control of creative on the main roster. I think he got to do a little more than usual while Vince was distracted, but Vince did, does, and will have final say until the day he croaks.

I’ve said this before but it really isn’t difficult. And it especially isn’t difficult anymore, now that somebody else is gonna ultimately control/own WWE over Vince.
There needs to be a huge social media following around the idea of boycotting Raw and Smackdown until they #RemoveVince or whatever. And then people actually need to commit by not tuning in so there’s a significant drop in ratings. (The same ratings that Ari touted on CNBC being up, which was obviously after HHH took over)

Fightful also mentioned that Bayley was supposed to escort Dakota and Iyo to the ring (which would have likely continued to plant the seeds of them breaking up), but she was pulled at the very last minute, like right before they went out there. If that's the case, then Dakota and Iyo are likely toast. Vince had no desire to call up either, and actually had fired Dakota because he thought she was too old. And he also thought Iyo didn't need to be called up because "we already have Asuka" and was content to let her rot away in NXT until her deal expired. Imagine having a generational talent like Iyo and saying "well we already have an asian lady". Her return to Stardom and having her, Mayu, and Kairi together again should be fun at least.

Asuka losing to Bianca just got even more baffling, since PWInsider has a report up behind their paywall saying Charlotte is taking another break, and they have no idea when she will return. So either Bianca spins her wheels, or they need to quickly reheat Asuka. Something Vince won't do. wrestlingnews.co/wwe-news/charlotte-flair-taking-a-break-from-wwe

And I don't think they can drag Bianca's reign out for much longer as she's even staler than Roman, and nowhere near as over (at least he actually gets reactions now).

Honestly, I’m starting to think that HHH didn’t book Mania Sunday I still maintain HHH was given Night 1 as a thank you from Vince. And from Night 2 Vince took back over. Like seriously, y'all pointing the finger of blame at the wrong person. This feels like a bit of a tightrope to walk... Night 1... Vince gives to Hunter as a gesture of goodwill because that's the kind of guy he is. Night 2... Vince takes back control to put Bianca over Asuka. Then he needs a bathroom break and throws Hunter the headset for the IC triple threat? While he thinks up ideas for how he's going to make them the League of Nations 2.0? Then he's back in charge for the main event.

I mean, Sheamus, Drew and Gunther we're going to tear the house down no matter who picked the winner. We're going to have to watch how they handle these three moving forward to make any real judgment.

Xero News is Brad Shepard of Ringside News, meaning anything coming from him can be safely dismissed as pure bullshit.
