The company that bought them was already in debt from buying the ufc and they just spent 9 billion more. Also, when companies merge, they like to fire people who have jobs they’re already paying people for. Ie the people in the office. Especially if they merge fight pass and wwe network. That’s the thing about the Saudi’s. we the fans might be disgusted with them, but they would have probably left the company structure as is since they don’t an American infrastructure to replace the wwe office worker jobs. I undestand that but I haven't seen expressions of concern about office jobs though...These are specifically centered around talent They gonna go into cost cutting mode to recoup some of their money. Unnecessary talent will fall under that umbrella

Did the UFC purge their talent roster or did a mass release during their sale?

Alot of this is extreme speculation with all of the circumstances surrounding why some things happened in the past removed (i.e. looking great financially for a sale).
I have been wrong a million times but no company is paying 9 billion dollars to watch Vince McMahon continuously tank things before finalizing

I wish the talent themselves would take a stand to make a point, I know legally easier said than done but my god I think Vince remaining in power is worse for them in the long run. Like a boycott of next Monday night.

Did the UFC purge their talent roster or did a mass release during their sale? Not to my knowledge but UFC fighters aren’t on yearly contracts. They’re on multiple fight deals(usually 5) so they only get paid if they fight and all but the absolute top draws are making peanuts.

Idk who is actually gonna get cut or not in all this but if I were a talent that was getting pushed explicitly by Hunter when Vince left or brought back/called up by Hunter when Vince left, I would be worried even if I wouldn't be cut soon that I am gonna be super de-emphasized and left in the void until an eventual release anyway.

Some are acting like he was let out of prison or something and just returned...
This guy was ousted from a PR standpoint and that is about it.
He is not only the primary owner but essentially the creator of modern wwf(e) not to mention the father in law (and father in Steph's case) of those in charge there was no way in hell he hasn't had his input in things both good and bad since he left.
He may not have had final call but no one will ever be able to convince me he wasn't consulted throughout this process.
This is real life and this situation is much uglier than good cop bad cop with Hunter and Vince.

6-8 months And how many of those that HHH brought back are gonna be fired and TK scoop them up. Pretty sure HHH doesn't wanna lose someone like Gargano to AEW for 5yrs the way he lost Cole because he has to know that if the likes of Bayley , IYO , Gargano get let go TK is grabbing them immediately because he would be stupid not to and then there is the possibility of Regal back in AEW again lol circle of life for that man lol. Alot of these guys and gals would have to be insanely trusting to ride this out for almost another entire year with the hope that Vince gets the boot for good and HHH maybe gets to finally run this ship with no weird eyebrows man looming over him. People like Gargano were released and weren't immediately snapped up by AEW. I think he'd be struggling to get on the card there too. It sucks for anyone to lose their job, but a lot of these rehires have been busts with HHH in charge.

I don't think there'll be a talent purge until next year, but a few departures due to talent not re-signing because they don't want to work under Vince, either for moral reasons, or like say, LA Knight, where they know that Vince sees nothing in them. Most of the initial cuts will be office jobs where they expect decent money and benefits, with a lot of the production side for both the WWE and UFC merged with little regard for the practicalities of such a move.

AEW are always going to be the Dr. Pepper to the WWE's Coke, and there is nothing wrong with that. They're still popular, just not as big. At the end of the day, the WWE have the best part of a decade as a headstart, they have contacts through sport, media and politics that will make unseating them near impossible at this point, people need to be realistic about that and just enjoy the fact we have something approaching an alternative now. And just like that analogy, I'll stick with Dr Pepper thank you very much But I like both. For instance Coke is better with alcohol, and..... oh god. That comparison works in more than one way.

Knew it was going to happen. Vince will never fully relinquish control of WWE.

Since have been deleted. From Reddit. This seems like it’d be more in relation to the rumours that he and Punk had some kind of backstage confrontation in AEW than anything to do with all this.

Regal going off and revealing where all the bodies are hidden would be such an insane cap stone to this entire week.

Whichever way it goes Regal just randomly going to Reddit to go, "Step to me and I'll f***ing end you," is hilarious.

I saw this pop up on twitter and I was thinking, what is going on here in the company. Okay, so at least there's something that is not WWE related this week.

Did the UFC purge their talent roster or did a mass release during their sale? The big thing the UFC did was get rid of token jobs. Chuck Liddell and Matt Hughes were on the payroll as a means of stopping them from fighting, but since they weren’t doing anything Endeavor disposed of them. Forrest Griffin had a similar position, but since he was helping out with the Performance Institute he was kept on.
