What a goddamn bizarre thing to do. Like, even people who would want to support Vickie, how can that be helping? I am assuming, if confronted, he'll try to spin it to being about the sentiment of fans butting into personal disputes, which, whatever, but it still would have been so much more prudent to stay out of it entirely. Cage is an idiot, but other people like John Silver and Shazza McKenzie did the same, and both of those are just disappointing. I understand that this is more nuanced than "people who like the post are saying 'yay, rape!' and pledging undying support to emotional abuse", but it is still deeply frustrating and gross to see how naive people can be. They know Vickie, they've probably had drinks with her and feel they have a good handle on her, so when accusations come her way, they circle the wagons, but... backing someone who is this wrong, this toxic, that helps no one, not even Vickie herself. It's kind of sobering sometimes to remember that many wrestlers are dumb meatheads, not especially nice people, or both. |

I know there is probably a lot more to it than I see from a distance but, when I read and see all these things about Vickie, I can't help but think "What the hell did Eddie see in her?"
She really must have been a huge part of his recovery because man, she doesn't seem to have much else going on in terms of character.

Kevin Kelly's comments making more sense (Even if Kelly has some really awful takes on divas in general so grain of salt here obviously) I remember hearing this for the first time in 2012, it's from the Place to Be Nation podcast. Haven't looked at Vickie the same way since. The way he says "Devious, evil woman," so different than the tone and vibe we usually get from shoot comments. |

I mean, if Eddie was around Sherilyn wouldn't have had a stepfather in the first place. I also think Eddie was such a hothead something like this would set him off. We'll never know obviously but that's always the impression that I got. |

I've always disliked Vickie, but this is just disturbing. Anyone who chooses their partner over their own child, ESPECIALLY in a situation like this, is a piece of garbage.

Chavo also tweeted about the issue Always did like Chavo. This makes me like him more now. What Chavo has been through during the two major tragedies and what he’s done for Daniel Benoit, makes him a strong, and great person. Although I can’t say he was one of my all time favs, it does somewhat bother me when people crack jokes at his expense. |

Well this is just a terrible situation anyway you cut it.
If you believe Sherilyn, she's an abuse victim whose mother has abandoned her.
If you believe Vicki, Sherilyn is mentally unwell and has been abandoned by her mother and thrown to the wolves publicly.
Neither are good looks for Vicki at all.
I hope Sherilyn finds the help she needs, whatever the truth.

Always did like Chavo. This makes me like him more now. What Chavo has been through during the two major tragedies and what he’s done for Daniel Benoit, makes him a strong, and great person. Thing is with Chavo: He may very well be one of the most successful wrestlers of all time. His in-ring career spanned decades. He was good to great in all of them. He worked for WCW, WWE, TNA, Lucha Underground and AEW. He seems to be the go-to guy for wrestling training and coordination in film and show productions. The worst I could say about Chavo is that he has an ego, but I think he has almost exactly the right amount of ego he needs to have in order to be where he is.
Meanwhile Vickie Guerrero is at worst an evil piece of human garbage, at best she's at denial of her insurmountable failings as a parent. Still, it is all too often that a mother covers the monstrous actions of a father. It would be her job now to provide her daughter with as much peace and support as possible, yet she announced the exact opposite. It would not change what happened, but it could help her daughter with conflicting feelings. It's the most horrendous thing to see a mother who did what Vickie did growing old never failing to mention the past and how she isn't at fault and how the father was this and that, but she didn't know or the child was "difficuelt" or or or.

We were told by her therapist when they are adults and make bad decisions you sometimes have to choose yourself. Literally had a therapist tell me that you aren't a bad parent if you cut and run on a 20 year old that is destroying your mental health with theirs. So I can sort of see why she wouldn't view it as abandonment. |

Shazza McKenzie gave a like to that horrible Vickie post?
(For those that don't know or may have forgotten, Shazza McKenzie came forward a few years ago about being sexually abused by a wrestling legend named Mario Milano years before.)
So... yeah, someone who suffered a SA, then had to suffer in silence for years out of fear that people would straight up deny the validity of her story. It's sad that she would even do so much as lean the opposite way in someone else's SA accusation.Turns out it was an accidental like. Thank goodness. |

With Instagram it is also very easy to accidentally like something if you're looking at it on your phone. Speaking from several examples of personal experience. |
