Let's see who's actually left the rest of the way, these are guys he has not defeated during this Universal title run:
The Rock AJ Styles Bobby Lashley The Miz Omos Randy Orton Shinsuke Nakamura Jimmy Uso Jinder Mahal LA Knight GUNTHER Sheamus Solo Sikoa Pat McAfee Bron Breakker
Can the WWE create compelling TV for the next 12 months with any of these guys from this group? Of this group, who is most likely to win the Rumble and main event Wrestlemania 40 against Roman?

No because you know going in Roman will win in the end.
There’s only been like three times in the last two years where I felt like Roman even had a chance of losing, only for WWE to not do it.

There is nothing compelling left about Romans title reign left because no matter who he is facing whether it is a fresh challenger the end is just him winning and we been doin this same f***ing song and dance for 3yrs now.
Untill he FINALLY loses we are stuck on a hamster wheel.

Of this group, who is most likely to win the Rumble and main event Wrestlemania 40 against Roman? Of that list, you can probably take The Rock off that list, it's been TEN YEARS since he wrestled a match that lasted more than 10 seconds and he tore his quad during his match with Cena. Roman - The Rock isn't happening. You can also take off Shinsuke Nakamura. Dude is a choke artist and WWE stuck a fork in that feud last year. Jinder Mahal?
The Miz got pinned by Snoop Dog at 'mania and has spent almost all of the last three years losing, so he's out.
With the remaining dudes, I would say no. Because it's just going to be the same old story - Roman retains thanks to help from either The Usos or Solo Sikoa.

I put Miz on this, because I want a face turn. Roman calls him out saying he's been handed everything while Roman had to earn it all. Obviously being a hypocrite knowing everything was handed to him too. If Miz can pull a fiery Daniel Bryan Smack Talk promo on Roman, saying he fought for everything he's had, it would make for a fun small fued for Roman. Plus you can book into the feud Roman's insecurity in Hollywood, seeing Miz get all these gigs he didn't.

Who is left on the main roster Roman hasn't steamrolled yet as champion --- that could be bought as a believable threat to him? I think Bobby Lashley, Gunther, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins... maybe Jimmy Uso, Damien Priest, Sheamus are it?

At this point Vacant has to be the odds on favorite. He’s taken down some legends over the years.

I’m surprised we haven’t had a Roman vs. Pat McAfee title match. That match alone would be worth it for Michael Cole cheering his friend on to do the impossible.

There is juice in a Roman/Miz match if done right.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see WWE get a Miz face turn right at the third time of asking, but I don't see it happening.

No one's fresh anymore, because this storyline and arc are well past their expiration dates
Cody was it, that's where everyone was clinging on, waiting for it to finally enter into a new era and have Roman enter a new phase... and they dropped the ball, hard
At this point it's not gonna be about who beats Roman for the belt, it's gonna just be about Roman losing the belt, and the pop will be for that more than anything lol

It just occurred to me that it could be Solo. LMAO.
He’s something of an outsider in the group and he’s a huge reason that Roman keeps retaining. Watch Roman’s goofy ass make him enter MITB so that no one else can challenge him. Which of course will ultimately lead to a Batista style turn. This is just dumb enough to happen. lol

The Rock
Obviously the big one but who wants to see Roman’s reign end with losing the titles to Rock? I’d rather Roman lose the belt then face Rock
AJ Styles
Definitely a possibility if his return is handled well
Bobby Lashley
Owed a title rematch after never losing the WWE title. That was over a year ago. Have him as the challenger for KOTR in Saudi.
The Miz
Not a serious threat at this point.
Omos
Oh boy. If you absolutely must do it do it later in the year if WWE goes back to Saudi. Do not have Omos lose before then either (nobody is buying Omos beating Brock if he loses to Strowman)
Randy Orton
Definite possibility but imagine he goes after Riddle and goes heel.
Shinsuke Nakamura
Another one owed a title shot (for over 2 years now!) but not sure he can be taken seriously at this point
Jimmy Uso
No way a serious threat compared to the more conflicted Jey. Maybe do a triple threat but right now Jimmy as a solo (pun intended) challenger is a no from me
Jinder Mahal
No chance. Roman beat him as a face years ago no need to go back. He isn’t over.
LA Knight
Yeah! I love him but needs a lot of wins to make this a realistic possibility.
GUNTHER
No chance if he’s still IC Champ and a heel. If Roman goes face maybe but no way Roman should go face until he loses the titles.
Sheamus
Late last year I would say yes but he can’t win the IC belt so why should he get a title match? Match would be great though
Solo Sikoa
As long as Roman beats him. Roman losing the belts to the guy who screwed over Drew and Cody would be shit honestly.
Pat McAfee
Similar to Logan Paul but I don’t think anyone buys Pat as a threat.
Bron Breakker
Again a possibility but needs more time in NXT since his face run has put a lot of people off him. If he was beloved by now it’s an absolute yes.

Why isn't R Truth on this list? Same reason that Shane O'Mac isn't on this list - dude tore a quad.

Unless it’s a career ending injury, or his cancer comes back (god forbid) they will maybe vacate the wwe title and do the interm title shit for him. I was actually just thinking of that yesterday. What a depressing way for Roman's title reign to end if that were to happen.
