Seth Rollins didn’t get beat so he’s a strong option.
And obviously a Cody rematch.
If he drops at Summerslam, you likely only need 1 or 2 defenses between now and then.

WWE obviously wants it to be Rock.
Which is foolish and stupid, but that's what they want. They'll wait forever trying to harangue him into coming back, and he's not going to do it.

It is probably a race between vacant and Cody to see who can get the title off of him first. I guess I give a small chance to a MITB winner.

We're at the stage where it's going to be rematches, celebrity freakshows, and WWE maybe possibly poaching AEW guys to job.

Still slightly surprised Theory wasn't low-key hiding the fact he was still Mr. MitB as the case couldn't actually be cashed in on the US title. It seems not and the character really is as dumb as it seems.
And, yes, I grew so tired of Reigns' run towards the end of HHH's tenure that a Theory takeover was preferable. The entire show can go now burn in a ditch with VKM running it, frankly.

And as I’ve brought up before, Miz is the last person to pin Roman and win a title from him. There is juice in a Roman/Miz match if done right. He had two PLE nights in a row where he was pinned clean by Pat McAfee and Snoop Dogg. If the match doesn’t end in 5 seconds after a spear, the suspension of disbelief isn’t so much stretched as disintegrates under the strain.

The year is 2044, WrestleMania 60.
Roman Reigns continues the longest male title reign in WWE history at 8,617 days.
He stares at his opponent. Someone he never thought would oppose him. His own son.
The Tribal Chief stays Tribal Chief as he defeats his own son when his other son interferes and joins The Bloodline.
The next night on Raw, Roman lays both belts in the ring. Says he has nothing left to prove. No one left worth fighting. And calls it a career.
Tuesday morning, Meltzer (still alive at 84) says the original plan was a "Countdown to 9,000 days" announcement. But Roman vetoed it.

The funny thing is they could easily fill an elimination chamber with people Roman couldn't beat without cheating. However, that would go against the narrative if they acknowledged that cheating is the only way he's been retaining all this time.

only two that have any sort of a shot i think are GUNTHER and Solo- but both would require a face turn since i think extra paranoid roman will be more heelish than ever now as the Bloodline is fracturing. maybe Orton but he's the guy on the list who needs an accomplishment like that the least.
then again Vacant just picked up the Impact world title so the face of the faceless could be ready for more gold unless he has prior commitments to Impact to finish first. though i think Vacant's contract has the original "forbidden door" clause in it which allows Vacant to work wherever Vacant wants to.

I'm surprised they haven't matched him up with a heel or two along the way, even if it's a one-off like Damian Priest.

It just occurred to me that it could be Solo. LMAO. He’s something of an outsider in the group and he’s a huge reason that Roman keeps retaining. Watch Roman’s goofy ass make him enter MITB so that no one else can challenge him. Which of course will ultimately lead to a Batista style turn. This is just dumb enough to happen. lol I fully 100% expect it to be Solo. I've thought that since he debuted. It would be a good story if they hadn't sacrificed Sami and Cody for it.

I’m surprised we haven’t had a Roman vs. Pat McAfee title match. That match alone would be worth it for Michael Cole cheering his friend on to do the impossible. Honestly? Might as well, it'd be a decent match. Pat MacAfee is actually pretty good in the ring, and he does have passion for it.
