I worked 31 hours this past weekend, but didn’t have a morning shift today. So I slept in and just woke up about 30 minutes ago. So good…

My body clock is fairly rigid and I’ve got two dogs that need walking. I’m normally awake before 9 on the weekend, so I quickly walk the dogs so they can do their business and then go back to bed. It’s what weekends are for.

I wake up at by 7 every AM after some 17 years of it.
Since I adopted my cat Cringer I'm up briefly at 5 to get him breakfast. Haven't needed an alarm in 9 months.

Normally I wake up at 5a but this past Friday I got to sleep in until 7a. What a difference that 2 hours made in my day.
Btw speaking of sleeping, I envy my dog. He went to bed with me on Thursday night, slept all day Friday with my gf, slept Friday night with me, Saturday during the day with my gf, Saturday night with me. So he slept in bed almost w days in a row. What a life

I can't and it's annoying. Even on the weekend, unless I go to bed around 3 or 4, I'm up by 7 or 8 regardless.

Because of work my internal clock wakes me up before 7 every day, so I go to the gym and get my workout in.
Then I can take bomb afternoon naps after work/gym stuff is done though.

Wish I could. My two fuzzy alarm clocks demand to bed fed at 5am prompt.

I don't really sleep in in the mornings, I'm quite an early riser generally, but there's nothing like an afternoon nap when you have nowhere to be.

Nothing like getting in bed on Friday night with nowhere to go the next morning.

As someone who is usually up at 5:20am Most Mornings, I cannot deny that I do enjoy a nice Lay in when the opportunity presents itself.

That is sundays for me.
Get up around 10 or 11am.Wake up then go grocery shopping while the stores are half empty.
Normal day I wake up between 7am and 9am.

Between my wife being a morning person and having a 6 year old I don't think I've slept in past 8am for like 15 years except maybe once, pre-child, when my wife was on a business trip.

Just getting enough sleep is all I really need. Then I can deal with having to get up at whatever time I need to.

I got into a habit of waking up between 6:30-7 years ago and now my body simply will not let me sleep later than that.
Up until 3? Too bad.
Hungover? Wake up and suffer.
Sick? Being on the couch and coughing is better than being in bed and coughing.
It sucks.

I work nightside (mostly 3pm to 11pm), and stay up a bit before going to bed, so getting up at like 9/10ish is normal for me. My trouble is getting sleepy around noon and trying not to nap.
I'm old. :/

In a way, it happened a few days ago. Typhoon coming in the country, my area's getting rain (and it's now summer here so a drop in temperature is appreciated).
Normally, I'd wake up at 5 to drive my sibling to work. I woke up at 5... and found out that work was suspended (and for me as well). So, I'm like "okay", and went back to bed. Woke up and it was raining, just a bit past 12 and lunch was waiting. Raining, but not too strong. Hot fish stew and rice. Just went from 5-ish to 12-ish without waking up in between.
Like, it's just something you appreciate when you get older. 20 ish and below me would spend the time playing video games or stuff with the extra hours. 33 me loves those moments when there's nothing, and despite the video games would sleep in and bother everyone around the house with my snoring. People around me have complained from the snoring.
Basically, a sudden weekday when you don't have to do things is golden.
