Rhea should be the one to beat Bianca and unify the titles. It feels like the plan as well.

I don't see it happening. Her loss will more likely be part of the break-up of CTRL. While Bianca's reign is very played out and if anything is preventing her from growing as a performer, there's also a lack of challengers who feel like they could win, because she's already beaten just about everyone clean. My guess is still that they might have Charlotte head over to Raw as a heel (possibly winning MITB if they need to protect Bianca that much), as she's the one person who would make fans feel bad for Bianca rather than being relieved the reign's finally over. If PWInsider is to be belived, Charlotte is not going to be back for a long time. They mentioned that at Mania, Charlotte told people she is taking a break to travel the world with Andrade and has a bodybuilding competition in the Summer and she doesn't want to wrestle until its done. That's not even factoring in that FOX wants Charlotte for Smackdown, and WWE is talking TV deals this year as well. I don't think you can drag out Bianca's reign all the way until Summerslam at this point.
Fair points. I imagine if they're trying to drag it out, they bring over a challenger or two from SD in the draft, or Asuka attacks her again if they want to structure it like the typical 'Bianca wins clean, then wins clean again' feud like she's had with Bayley a couple of times.

At this point I don't even think they are gonna drag it out much longer. Either she drops the title at Backlash, a day after she beats Becky's record, or she drops it at MITB to a cash in (and I hope she drops it at Backlash). But I honestly can't see her holding onto it for much longer as audiences are completely sick of her as champion, and she desperately needs a change of pace, as audiences are growing more and more sick of her as champion.

Rhea should be the one to beat Bianca and unify the titles. It feels like the plan as well. That is a very very bad idea just based on WWE's inability to utilize the rest of their womens roster in any meaningful way. And how they have gotten very comfortable for long dragged out reigns that completely kill their division of any credible challengers to the champions.

For me, one of the main issues they have is two world champions. It means they are never building credible challengers because they need to find two every month, limiting their ability to build coherent storylines and popular acts. It means more people fail in their challenge, then they are seen as a less capable challenger moving forward for either belt and less over by extension. I don’t think short title reigns would necessarily help either. You only have to look at how little good holding a world title did for Liv Morgan or Nikki Cross. In addition, assuming they aren’t going to split Roman’s titles in the men’s division, it makes no sense not to unify the women’s titles too.

The counterpoint is that unlike Roman, the women's division has pretty much nothing to feud over otherwise. They have no secondary titles. And I guarantee you that the only four women who are going to be "Unified Women's Champions" are going to be Charlotte, Bianca, Rhea, Becky, and probably Ronda. Everyone else will either be fed to one of those four women or won't matter at all. Or will be fed to them and then not matter. Unifying the titles is a bad idea, and it was pointed out on Reddit but its worth bringing up here is that with a draft coming up, the brand split is likely remaining in place. And unless WWE introduces secondary SINGLES titles for the women and actually treats them like a big deal, then don't unify the current ones. I also don't see Bianca's reign lasting all the way until Mania next year either, because audiences will be completely done with her by that point, and I don't think her career would recover from it. There would also be the issue of a bunch of women who would likely decide to leave the company because now they have nothing to strive for. People obsessed with the idea of unifying the titles have no idea how bad it would actually be for the women in particular. Roman was the exception rather than the rule, and I have a feeling those titles are getting split pretty quickly after he drops them eventually.

Usually, I'd say no just because I don't think IYO is over enough yet. But I'm so tired of these endless title reigns that I think she should. And it's not like IYO isn't a great wrestler or anything. No way it's happening, though. It would mean WWE have to do something brave/unpredictable.

So just about even keel so could be real interesting to see IF she were to win it...some will be happy , some maybe not so much , some who thought too soon. Even though we been doing the song and dance with Bianca this honestly feels like a real strong chance she could lose it IYO because she will have broken Becky's record which lets be honest is largely is why she still has it because WWE put so much stock into meaningless stats like that and this match happens right before the draft.

I agree a midcard title would be good for the women’s division in a world where the titles were unified - provided they book it more productively than they have the tag titles. Building people up to the same level as the horsewoman, Ronda and Bianca is key before they challenge for the world title - which is what they did so well with Rhea. My feeling on it remains that it is easier to do that with one world champ than two, simply because it means less women are tossed into the filler challenge secondary ppv matches. It also in theory means less of the top tier women like those you mention are in title feuds and can instead feud with other up and coming talent on the roster and give them a rub.

It also in theory means less of the top tier women like those you mention are in title feuds and can instead feud with other up and coming talent on the roster and give them a rub. Here is the thing though. WWE has shown they really, and I cannot emphasize this enough, so I will put it in bold text: Do not care about the women who aren't in the title scene. Hell, they have ran out of things to do with Bianca at this point with her run as champion, so its pretty clear that she needs to drop it, and very soon at that. Having two titles lets more women into the title scene than just one. Who is likely going to be one of the four/five women I listed in my post above, feuding with another woman in that list. It's very clear at this point that the title is only on Bianca for the sake of breaking a record no one but WWE cares about. At the expense of the rest of the RAW Women's Division. Unifying the titles will only make the problem worse. There is no room for argument there. This is why I really hate it when people act like unifying the titles is a good idea. It's not. And it never will be. WWE needs to get off their asses and start building up other women. Iyo is finally starting to get over with audiences, so they shouldn't f*** up like they did with Asuka at Mania (who was significantly more over than Bianca, and I would go as far to say Bianca winning pretty much massively deflated the audience, and her promo on RAW the following night fell completely flat with fans as well). Put the RAW title on Iyo and make a new star, move Bianca to Smackdown, and have her chase after Rhea, leading to a match at Summerslam.

Getting Bianca over to Smackdown to feud with Rhea sooner rather than later is a good idea. Otherwise the risk is Rhea is getting dangerously close to Bianca's harmful presentation. Rhea, like Bianca is clearly presented head and shoulders above the likes of Asuka, Bayley, Liv, etc. They were never protected in any of their loses to her. She's got only Bianca, Becky, and maybe Ronda left as viable challengers. What helps Rhea is her character is at least interesting with Judgement Day. Also she's coming off a feud with Charlotte where she had an equal foil. Without that equal foil, we'll be complaining that Rhea is OP in a few months. Bianca can be that equal foil. Getting the belt off Bianca and pulling the trigger on that feud with Rhea will help them both and the division as a whole.
With Bianca and Rhea over on Smackdown, IYO as RAW champ can defend the belt as an equal against all the rest of the division, lifting everyone back up after Bianca buried them. RAW can still have Becky for the star power, and Becky is a lot more giving in her matches. People can lose a match against Becky without being made to look like trash.

At this point it feels like the only big time title matches left are Bianca/Rhea and Becky/Rhea. And the latter is debatable with how much Becky has cooled off after months of dealing with Damage CTRL and the old timers. Nonetheless I don't know how much more time they can keep dragging their feet and killing time before going to either of those with how little cred like 90% of the division has. Not protecting enough of the talents well enough and building up enough new stars it seems has caught up to bite them in the ass.

Unifying the women's belts would, IMO, be going BACKWARDS not forwards in terms of progressing the women's division. Having said that, I wouldn't be upset if the tag belts were scrapped and we got a secondary belt in it's place.

Well, yeah, I'm sure they'd be gutted about it if it happened and tbf it's only my opinion since I personally feel that a secondary title for the MR women would work a lot better than a tag title does there, guess it's good for the likes of Katana and Kayden that I don't have a say in whether or not they get scrapped

If they didn't allow Asuka to win it, then Iyo sure as hell shouldn't. That's just beyond insulting to Asuka after everything she has done for the company.
She's not going to win anyway, there's a title unification at WM40 to come and WWE wants it's "Biggest two stars" to fight it out for the unified title.
