Just skimming the description of the suit in the OP, seems like there might be enough there to at least survive a pre-discovery motion to dismiss. My guess is they try for the motion to dismiss and if it’s not granted, they settle pre-discovery.

Well all know it was Pierce Brosnan who did 9//11 and I can guarantee you if they did that 9/11 gimmick KSA would be up their ass And somehow his singing in Mama Mia is still the worst thing he ever did

My guess is that WWE attempts to settle with her out of court. Just to avoid lengthy litigation on the proverbial eve of their huge buyout. Last I ever heard Vince takes everything to court. He would rather spend money on lawyers than pay out a dime to people suing him because then it never stops. Now, the sale changes things but settlement seems unlikely from what I have heard of Vince.

Nothing about the allegations in this suit surprises me. The only part I'm surprised by is that a woman of color took a job in one of the seediest industries in the Western world with apparently zero awareness of its terrible history with women and African-Americans.

He just settled with Rita Chatterton a few months ago. There have been other instances too.

Whenever the curtain gets pulled back in their creative and I read things like the Shane Thorne/Reggie angle, it's just ponderous. Is it some person's fetish or fantasy being brought to life? Is it really going to pan out on TV? What's so difficult to have a heel cheat to win or attack a babyface, book the babyface to eventually get revenge and let the wrestlers tell the story?
I bet this is quietly settled & we never hear of the plaintiff again while she gets a nice check for her trouble.

I have no idea what kind of standing a lawsuit like this has but, let's be real, there's a very good chance at least half of what's alleged here happened.

Oh man, so much of this is f***ing grim. This is why all group writing rooms, not just in wrestling, need better representation from the whole gender and racial spectrum.

I'm not really shocked at the fact a lot of WWE's staff writers are immature man babies given we see their content on TV.

May be an effective way for Endeavor to get out of the Saudi deal; simply piss the prince off enough to not wanting WWE back. What makes you think they would want that? If they wuld want to deal with the Saudis I guess I have been misinfomed somewhere.

If it's half as bad as this makes it sound, it's a miracle what makes it onto TV is as filtered as it is. And "filtered" is a f***ed up way to describe the nuances of WWE's sense of humour.

From what we’ve heard of creative pitch meetings, it seems to be the Wild West where people just pitch anything, no matter how outrageous and so it’s not too shocking that there are some ideas that push the envelope way too far.
