How would this even work?!?!?!?! They can film any scenes that are purely CGI characters or shots that are close-ups of the CGI characters alone, I guess. They might decide to do some filming and then splice in the actors later when the strike has been called off.

Also if they do that this movie is going to have horrifically bad lip synching and probably extremely janky movement.

Likely they're just filming the scenes with isolated CGI characters or all the CGI characters together interacting, which is likely a chunk of decent scenes for the film. I can imagine Sonic and Shadow will have a lot of standalone scenes they can work on.

I was listening to Mick Garris's "Post Mortum" podcast today and it had a 'live' event cast that involved the writers of Sonic 1, 2, and 3, and one of the writers made a sarcastic quip saying, "We hoped [the strike] would end in time for Sonic 3 to start filming..." and Mick followed up with a joke about "Now that production bonus is in jeopardy," so...good for them?

You'd think the suits would want to find a way to end this strike with sales forecasts drop... but...

You'd think the suits would want to find a way to end this strike with sales forecasts drop... but... I believe it was the head of Paramount who said they hoped a resolution would come because they want to get back in the "content making business" which, first off, , second you speak to your friends at the AMPTP about that, they're basically dragging this thing out for your sakes!

These f****** guys, I swear... I presume the international prices will follow suit. Considering I haven't even looked at the Disney+ app since the third season of Mando ended I think it'll probably be time for me to cut that tie.

Increasing their prices when they're about to run out of new content to produce for said streaming services sure seems like a f***ing choice.

Raising prices at a point in time when you aren't producing new content and the new content you had been making keeps flopping is certainly a choice.

Doubling down on increasing prices whilst you are losing subscribers and shows are underperforming is not a winning strategy.
