As a counterpoint to the message the publications are putting out

It’ll confirm it if there’s no deal today which feels like a weird thing to hinder on it when the only people squawking about it are those with a clear agenda.

Okay the current environment vibe I am getting, everyone has been pushed into a corner, the people are watching, I think the writers strike will be settled soon. Or maybe I just too optimistic, by the end of the month there will be a deal.

I want the writers and actors to get what they want, as long as it takes.

In general that is just a really fun gimmick account.

In general that is just a really fun gimmick account. And more fun than actually posting the 20,000 stories the AMPTP spread around a deal being done.

They were super far apart the last time they went into these meetings. Wondering how much the numbers plummeting might be scaring some of the Execs when it comes to this
I don't see it ending yet given studios like CBS have already started airing Yellowstone on national TV to fill time, they seem prepared for this to go on for a long haul
If it did up and end suddenly though it'd sure be awkward for those John Cena and Rock returns...

If it did up and end suddenly though it'd sure be awkward for those John Cena and Roman Reigns returns... This would just be for the writers if it ends today so the SAG negotiations would be another thing so they’d be less awkward for now.

It's looking optimistic, but it's not over until it comes directly from the WGA itself. And the SAG strike is still ongoing.

The ole "last, best, and final offer" routine. Seen this movie before

The ole "last, best, and final offer" routine. Seen this movie before F*** that, man. They spend 145 or so days coming up with an offer and they’re spreading in the ‘sheets that they have to rush it on their time, using Yom Kippur as an excuse, knowing full well that it isn’t the WGA’s problem? If the offer is shit, the offer is shit to their members so guess what? Pitch another one. That’s how negotiations work. EDIT: Also, if they don’t accept the offer, what, no more movies? Are Zaslav and co going to write all of them and actually justify their paychecks and bonuses? 2nd EDIT: Also also, someone pointed out, they did the “last and final offer” routine in May and August and here we are. So it’s meaningless words from their end.

The only statement really needed about all of this right now.

The ole "last, best, and final offer" routine. Seen this movie before What the hell does "final offer" even mean in this context? What, are they really gonna tell their shareholders the rest of the year is a wash? Or do they think they're gonna fire all the striking writers and actors like they did the air traffic controllers in the 80s? So f***ing silly on the AMPTP's part.
