There should be one guy who they just absolutely rip into. Like he gets announced and both commentators are groaning and slamming papers onto the table, yelling shit like "Why's he here?" "Who would waste a pick on him?" "Is he someone's cousin?" and just act like he's absolutely going to bog the whole show down. But then they push him to the moon. "Why is Dom Mysterio on Monday Night Raw, Corey Graves?! You selfish prick!" "Well he has some upside--" "His upside is that I hope someone goes UPSIDE his head!! He is a son of a bitch!!"

You took my idea and made it bad. You're like the opposite of an inventor.

How did they present the picks made on the post-Smackdown and post-Raw shows? Because from just reading them afterwards, it looks like Raw drafted, like, 45 more wrestlers and Smackdown was all "Oh shit, we're doing more picks? Uhhh...Tamina?"

Literally just the hosts of Raw Talk going "Raw drafts wrestlers A, B, C, and D, Smackdown selects wrestler E (sadly, not Big E)."

It would’ve been hilarious if Hit Row got Drafted....just for Michael Cole to shit on the selection ala Mel Kiper in Drafts past.

Most of the real NFL draft coverage is equally as hyperbolic, particularly the first round. And that's despite years of evidence that most of them will become average starters at best.

The NFL draft isn't the same at all. Those are all guys making a new start. New coaches, new systems, new trainers, new opportunites. It's exciting because any one of these guys could be a breakout star. When Smackdown selects Tamina, everyone knows exactly what they're getting, and it ian't something exciting.

Erm, it's literally their job to make people excited for and want to see all of their performers. Yes, even Tamina. Nobody can seriously criticise WWE for not loathing itself and some of its performers as much as a section of its fanbase do.
