Making the product suffer for a freaking record.. It's not even really a record... first off it's the wrong title. Second off the only true "Record" is Bruno's.

Maybe but it won't have the same mainstream impact if he does. Pro Wrestling is less culturally relevant and far more niche than it was back in the 1980s' or Attitude Era. All the normies I know have no idea who Roman is but still ask about Hogan, Austin, Rock, or to a lesser degree Flair. The only exception is Brock but normies will say "Isn't he the UFC guy who went off to do fake fights because he got his ass kicked?". Sad but true.

I voted no originally, but that was before they introduced a silver medal world title that the Impact Legends belt would consider to be a consolation prize
Also it isn't a record

God, I hope not, that sounds absolutely miserable.
In a world where the product is more dependent on TV than house shows, this is going to feel much, much longer than the Hogan reign did simply by way of overexposure.

The company seems to be playing chicken between stretching the reign and maintaining ratings that are acceptable to the networks - possibly to dangle a title change as a carrot. Which won't work - I assure you. Networks care about ad revenue and ratings, not about who's holding the belts. The longer the company continues to play these games of chicken, the more likely it becomes that it'll get smacked by an long-hauler.

This means he's going to lose the title to Omos when the twin of Jessika Carr fast counts him.

Today Roman tied Stone Cold's combined days as WWE champion at 529.
