Is it just me? But it seems every city I have lived in. When the fair comes to town it seems to always get set up in the low income/ high crime rate area of the city. The cops are constantly being called due to violence and robberies. You'd think they'd set it up somewhere kids didn't have to worry about getting their cartoon plushies stolen while they ride the merry-go-round.

The nicer areas of town dont want the traffic or noise and have the influence to keep it out?

Just about every fair I've ever been to usually sets up in the local malls parking lot.

Just about every fair I've ever been to usually sets up in the local malls parking lot. Here, the malls ARE the bad areas. But lately the fair has been setting up in a vacant lot that used to be a car dealership.

I think of carnivals as being in working class neighborhoods as opposed to ‘the hood’. I’ve been to plenty of them and never had any problems there. One town I lived in in New Jersey had an annual church carnival and the carny folk used to come hang out in our local bar. They were pretty cool people.
When I think of ‘fairs’ I picture something much bigger held at a county fairground.

The fairs I've seen are usually held in either park grounds (which are more rural than anything) or you've got the big state fair in the parking lot of MetLife Stadium. And that's in the middle of a massive sports and shopping complex.

I’m in the Los Angeles area and yeah, carnival’s and circus’ are always shooting for some shitty areas for some reason.

Because Harris was trying to set Mahoney sand the rest up to fail Zed really showed up Lassard's brother and the mayor when the big throwdown at the fair happened!

Where I grew up and lived the first half of my lie the county fair was at the big fairgrounds in Goula. Which is in the middle of town. In a nice area.
Which is why years later when XIWF had a show there. Main event New Jack came out and someone with a house near the fairgrounds saw New Jack coming out and cussing and dragging the can of plunder nad called the cops "A man is attacking the wrestlers at the fair grounds"
Now where I live the fairs are held at the Exchange Club park, decent part of town. Or behidn the civic center ,outskirts of town.

Our local fair is always on the arena grounds, in one of the better areas of the city and there’s still always problems. Any event like that that draws large groups of 12-25 year olds is bound to have issues.
Only problem I’ve ever had at the midway is wasting my $50 unlimited ride pass because I took to many mushrooms and barely went on any rides. Fair+after dark+mushrooms= massive sensory overload.

Use to every year during the Jackson Country Fair load up on mushrooms take a few then just wander the fair grounds for hours watching the lights.
