Leave it to Beaver became primarily focused on Wally in the final seasons when they learned that at least half the audience was teen girls who were watching for Tony Dow.

Sesame Street is now Elmo's World. It only lives in it. Which is ironic as Elmo seems to be living in Rocko's world.

American Wedding was especially bad. It was "Finch and Sitfler fight over a girl:featuring Jim and Michelle getting married" Kevin being there was beyond pointless. I feel like he had a dozen lines in the entire movie Don’t forget….. Stifler in a dance-off Stifler eats shit Stifler has sex with an old woman in a dark room It’s beyond pathetic. The original film does have some admittedly questionable scenes that don’t look too great now (let’s livestream a girl getting naked without her consent! HA!) but driving the whole series is a genuine affection between the four main guys that is actually quite endearing. That is thrown away by one of the four not being at Jim’s wedding with zero explanation for his absence. And then at the end of Reunion Stifler gets to screw Finch’s mum because somehow they felt the need to cancel out the only real advantage Finch ever held over Stifler. I can't remember if it was a deleted scene or in the script but cut out but they *do* explain that Oz/Heather were in Europe (for reasons I can't remember) and they couldn't make the wedding. And Stifler showed a shred if growth at the end if 'Wedding' only to be an even bigger man-child in Reunion

Friends in its earliest form made an effort to give equal time to all 6 main characters and whatever was going on in their lives. Then it became the Ross and Rachel Show, with the other characters reacting to their on-off relationship.
It seemed for a time in the 90’s, Jubilee was a major focus of just about every X-Men story.

In the wake of Jennifer Lawrence winning an Academy Award and just generally becoming a huge megastar, FOX tried hard to make her Mystique a cornerstone of the First Class series of X-Men films, even shoehorning her in as a founding member of the X-Men. This was made all the more awkward by the fact that Jennifer Lawrence just clearly did not want to play Mystique any more. and I don't really blame her the blue makeup seems like an ordeal and a half. But... yeah once she became big they tried to use as much as possible and had her mostly show up out of the makeup for it because again she didn't want to have to deal with it. But she's getting paid millions to be Mystique. Having to put the blue makeup on is part of being Mystique. It's not like she was on minimum wage having to sit there for three hours why they turn her blue. She would have been sat there having the makeup put on and earning more than any of us will ever have for doing so.

Actors might be paid better than 99% of the people in human history, but if they want to make the parts of the job they hate a little less unpleasant they're entitled to at least ask. If the producers agree to it, it's on them.

It was just Jennifer Lawrence at that point which in fairness her name was up there but not seeing the makeup did take a bit away

And fair play to her for having the pull to do it cause not everyone can In Lawrence's case, on First Class it took eight hours to apply the makeup, followed by 6-8 hours of filming, and two hours to remove it. She also had to fit in a two-hour exercise regime before she even went to makeup to stay in shape. On top of that she was allergic to the makeup itself. On Days of Future Past and Apocalypse the makeup was switched from full body prosthetics to a zippered body suit with some facial prosthetics, cutting the time in the makeup chair down to three hours, but she still wound having some mild reactions to the makeup and had to double up her exercise regimen due to Mystique spending a good amount of those movies effectively naked. Millions of dollars or not, she was still putting in the work. Dark Phoenix is the only movie where she actually got her wish of minimal makeup, because her original contract only covered First Class to Apocalypse. It looked like shit, sure, but as I said, that's on the producers deciding that they needed Jennifer Lawrence in the movie more than Jennifer Lawrence needed to be plastered from head to toe in blue prosthetics. In the end, it didn't matter because nobody needed or wanted to see Dark Phoenix.

If she didn't blow up crazy she wouldn't have had the leverage to ask for those concessions so I don't blame her, just as a viewer it was annoying Considering how much screen time she got in Days of Future Past, it was a mild shock they got her off in Dark Phoenix but considering the headache of the makeup and her character sort of being meh anyway they sent her out the door early enough so it was good use of her character in that sense. Dark Phoenix has its own major set of problems Speaking on X-Men I did like that casting overall but can't fault Disney for wanting to bring in their own crew and obviously with multiverse you still have access to those versions of the character no matter what but I would brought back McAvoy and Fassbender

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Rescue Me. Started with a show about how firefighters who responded to 9/11 and lived and lost friends and brothers dealt with it and new guys who were inspired to join because of 9/11 into how every single woman, up to and including his own sister wanted to f*** Denis Leary.

Back when I read Marvel comics, they shoehorned Wolverine in everywhere. then later they did it again with Deadpool >_> Though Deadpool usually pointed out he was only there to sell more copies >_>

Mystique and Wolverine you can excuse, with her ability to control her appearance and his regenerative powers. Xavier, Magneto, Beast, Quicksilver, Jean, Cyclops, and Havoc barely ageing over 10/20/30 years is just silly. Even plain old regular human Moira only ages a couple of years between 1962 and 1982. Seconded on bringing back McAvoy and Fassbender if the option is there. I know Fassbender has said since the birth of his son in 2021 he's more interested in spending time with his family and making smaller productions (and motor racing), so he might not be interested.

The Simpsons in its early days felt like Bart was meant to be the front and center character. Then the episodes at the tail end of the golden era and the beginning of the next one felt like they were really focusing on Homer more than anyone else. Some of the people who work on the show acknowledged this. It was originally intended to be centered on Bart. However, they started to run low on ideas and came to the realization that with Homer there were far more stories they could tell due to him being an adult who was not necessarily the brightest.

Ah, I got one: Full House became VERY Michelle centered around season 5 or so.

Lucky started out as basically just a background character on King of The Hill, but gradually we wound up with entire episodes centered on him. Tom Petty by no means did a bad job of voicing him, but it felt like they ran out of ideas and were trying stretch as much material as they could from a character that didn't need to.

I’d argue that the DC universe has gotten way over saturated by Batman

Harley Quinn... I have now been told that I'm sleeping on the couch tonight. There was a small time of Family Guy where it felt like Herbert was in every episode. AJ Lee in WWE in the early-mid 2010s.
