FWIW, Zarian, on his Mat Men podcast, said that he hasn't heard anything regarding a deal for ROH from his WBD sources. However, he said that he has been busy for a couple weeks and hasn't been in contact as much.

ROH still ending up on a WBD network after all of this time on a totally separate deal might be the funniest way this all ends

I literally said ROH should've been on TruTV for f***ing YEARS because imo it just fit and they needed the programming
I guess that's why Jericho got the belt again if negotiations are close.

I feel like such an idiot, but an ROH deal would just be more money piled on top of the new streaming deal, meaning even more overall profit for AEW/Khan, right?

It would, any deal ROH gets would be money towards Khan's businesses though I imagine it won't go to AEW, he'd dump whatever he gets from this specifically back into ROH's presentation

Technically AEW and ROH are separate companies even though Khan doesn't exactly treat them as such.

Khan made it a point of emphasis when he bought ROH to say that he was the owner of ROH, not AEW. That's important to note because it's been all but confirmed that WBD has an equity stake, which isn't uncommon. WWE has sold shares to TV partners in previous media deals and the NFL is currently negotiating to get a stake of ESPN. It's been rumored that a few of top talent (Cody, the Bucks, Omega, Jericho, Punk) received some as well. ROH getting more funding means that Tony can have his own playground actually separated from AEW proper, which can mean a whole lot or absolutely nothing for AEW going forward

Is TK still booking ROH? He still heading gorilla for each show etc? ROH tapes one or two matches before Collision, and the rest after Collision. It is essentially what Superstars/Main Event/Velocity/HeAT/Shotgun/Jakked/Metal were for WWE. So yeah, TK comes out before, between, and after tapings to hype up or thank the crowd.

ROH is 100% Tony.

It's an LLC so we can't really see, but I think that Shad was the lead funder using what was Tony's inheritance if I'm remembering things that have been buried on the internet correctly

It's out of Tony's inheritance, and Shahid Khan is an unfathomably rich man with only two children. That AEW is now on the verge of being in the black and Tony doesn't even need that money to run it anymore is kind of wild on that front.

It's a 9-figure startup that's profitable in the first 5 years. Forget a wrestling promotion, for any company that was 95% launched by a sole investor that's absurd. In any other genre of entertainment or industry that people took seriously, TK would be getting Elizabeth Holmes-level attention.

The one year WCW turned a profit? The few months TNA was profitable? The money that Midway paid into ECW which they sued them thinking they'd own the whole company? If the standard is just WWE then I don't want people glamorizing WCW, ECW, TNA etc because most, if not all, would be seen as catastrophic failures.
