Are the PPVs streaming on HBO Max yet?

Khan said at the media call yesterday that he’s sure they’re going to get huge rights increases for Dynamite, Rampage and Collision and that 2025 will be the year they become profitable and a real challenger brand. I sure hope so. That’s an awesome sign.

Hopefully streaming means the PPVs will be part of MAX and no longer needing to pay 50 bucks per show.

PPV's are still a big money maker for them, so I don't think they'll abandon it altogether. At least not yet. But I can see a TNA+ situation where the big four shows (DoN, Revolution, All In, Full Gear) are PPV while the others are "free" Max or B/R exclusives.

Really waiting for an AEW + ROH combo or something as I really want to watch ROH, but need to drop another streaming service to want to make it work

Really waiting for an AEW + ROH combo or something as I really want to watch ROH, but need to drop another streaming service to want to make it work Yeah, Honor Club is more worthwhile now that the PPVs are on there, but that's still only three PPVs a year at the moment. Still want to see some "specials" on there that aren't quite at the level of the main PPVs but can be highlighted beyond the weekly TV show. With AEW getting "more content", the question is what that'll all end up looking like - will it be more reality shows? More spots for wrestlers on other WB properties? An online-exclusive show or two that can try different things or focus on different styles or whatever? Been feeling for a bit like there'd be a market they for both an all-women's weekly show, as well as maybe one that's all lucha, though the CMLL/AAA politics would make that one complicated.

Zarian is going to keep saying that streaming deal is done until it is. I'm not sure at this point whether he actually knows anything or is just willing it into existence.

yeah you can count me in with the group that'll watch ROH if its part of some bigger deal. as it stands now there's just too many services out there but I could pay for Max monthly

This reminds me of when people would criticize Meltzer and the like when they would say that plans change which I get but also it was Vince and plans would often in fact change. Given the internal issues at WBD since the merger, I'm not surprised that stuff like this has been fluid. Especially in their contract year.

Booking plans can absolutely change and discussions about streaming deals can as well. But when it comes to TV and streaming, a done deal is a done deal. There will be contracts involved and those can't be changed without penalties. As I said in my original post, I was referring to the reports that say the streaming is a done deal.

Yeah he was teasing an imminent streaming deal since early to mid-2022.

Again, I think we have to remember that WBD’s exclusivity window for the NBA rights is, allegedly, April and it seems very much likely that they’ll let it go on the open market and figure out who else wants what (USA being a big rumored bidder, especially since it’s likely the reason they dropped Raw for Smackdown) so any potential AEW money will probably be put from what they’re not spending on the NBA rights.
Basically, Zarian’s going to keep saying this because we’re in a holding pattern until more people bid for the NBA rights.

Just to add, TK said they're still in the negotiation exclusivity window with WBD and, whilst we don't know when that'll expire because the contract's been tweaked since AEW debuted on TNT, there's no reason to think that'll be before the NBA one ends. It could be but there's no real reason for either side to disclose it.

As it relates to the expanded PPV schedule, they announced April 21st will be the next PPV, AEW Dynasty. to go along with this, Tonny said he thinks 9 is the sweet spot for PPVs especially with ROH having a couple a year. Right now we're at... Revolution Dynasty Double or Nothing Forbidden Door All In All Out WrestleDream Full Gear World's End So unless WBD requests more I think the line up is set
