I feel like Friday/Saturday nights is for going out and Sunday afternoons would be tough with Football, but how about a Sat show from 12-2? People can smoke a bowl, maybe have a beer while hungover watching collision

12-2 on a Saturday?!
If everyone else on this forum is like me, then they're too busy burying dead-hookers around that time to keep up with a wrestling show.

Saturday is pretty much a dead zone for tv in general. SNL is the only thing on that day that garners any significant ratings.

I still think 6pm to 8pm is the best shot for any decent ratings on saturday. Gives people a shot to still go out & you don’t have to compete with the big sporting events.

I think the current time slot is totally fine. UFC and other sports have shown that there are people home watching TV. It's just more feast or famine. You have to put on a good product. But if you do, you can draw.

College Football would likely slaughter this time slot.

Saying that Collision will be slaughtered by Football on Sunday just to suggest Saturday from Noon to 2PM when College Football has some of its most premiere games weekly is... a choice
I think Saturday 8PM is gonna be their best prime time bet. They're gonna compete with College Football still but it's a prime time slot, putting it on Afternoons is asking for death, look at how bad Rampage does at the 6PM slots alone. You gotta account for the West Coast viewership.

Collision is probably going to struggle as it is in the Fall. College Football does better ratings than just about anything on American TV that isn't the NFL and now both ABC and NBC are going to have heavily hyped games kicking off at 7:30PM & 8:00PM ET respectively. And with CBS switching to the Big Ten, the 7:00PM ET slot on ESPN will probably be the SEC showcase game going forward.

You gotta account for the West Coast viewership. I think it's more than just football that will harm them. Saturday tends to be one of the busiest days of the week for most people in terms of social activity. Sports are on that day, and I have a feeling that WWE is (rightfully) not going to be moving their PLEs off of Saturday just because of Collision. So while I wouldn't expect Collision to face too much competition on that front (as the majority of WWE PLEs are B-Level), there are going to be probably three times a year (Summerslam, Royal Rumble, and Wrestlemania) where AEW faces stiff competition, not counting actual sporting events either.

AEW's going to face sports or WWE competition no matter what night it airs on. Saturday isn't the ideal night. But it's also probably the least bad night for AEW's purposes. The only good thing about going against college football is that some of the strongest wrestling media markets in the Northeast couldn't give a damn about college football, especially compared to the Midwest or the South.

I’m surprised that nobody is really talking about the fact that Collison will be up against WWE PLEs once a month. Between that and the fact that Saturday is just a bad day for TV in general I’m really scratching my head at the time slot. I almost feel like they would have done better going against Raw.

Has there even been a Saturday Afternoon show since WCW Worldwide quit airing?
