How about trading cards in the early 90s. They made cards for everything and flooded the market. Got all of them still at my parents house somewhere. Oddly enough the cards I really want are nowhere to be found. For a bit I was buying unopened wax boxes of various 90s comic trading cards and busting the packs on video. Stuff like Deathwatch 2000 from Classic and Tribe from PressPass I think. Also got 3 wax boxes of Plasm from Rivers media group. Usually paid 5 for the box and 5 for shipping. Would build one full base set. Put aside the insert cards. Then the extras from the base set get used as book marks. Sure there is a few of those 90s glut comic card sets worth some money. But the junk stuff nope cheap cheap cheap. A weird one is Gulf War trading cards. Unshockingly, they have no real value minus maybe novelty.

One from TOPPS that was mass produced and worthless now and another from a smaller company that isn't as mass produced andd has a tiny bit of value. One thing they appeared to produce to many of locally is that Live Action Little Mermaid remake. Local store is loaded with the DVD and Blu ray release.

They had a set of, I believe Upper Deck Gulf War baseball cards on Pawn Stars. I forget what happened exactly. If only one card had any value or he was missing the only card with value or what.

Pretty sure these count: Bloody heck, even the box for the toys based on his film is drab, miserable and flat out unappealing. I know they're meant for adult collectors, but even adult collectables go out of their way to make the packaging appealing so they look good on shelves, while that looks like something you'd find a local supermarket selling budget crackers in.

Speaking of DVDs, the DVDs for Altered States, Hooper, Protocol, and Sharky's Machine clogged up retail racks in the early/mid 2000s.

I don't remember who it's for, but I got it in a random pack at a flea market when I was 10.

Yeah, that looks like "BEIGE: THE MOVIE".

I worked at Kmart from 2008-2011. That store closed in 2015.
The self titled Kmart exclusive Ashlee Simpson album that came out in 2005 still had several boxes in the electronics stock room. We were just never allowed to get rid of them.
This is less on topic, but there was an end cap in toys that had the same Nsync pins and notepads for a decade. It never showed up on a planogram. It was just lost to time. And no one cared enough to just do anything with it.

I just looked it up and the main Triumphs and Horrors Gulf War set is selling for $7.98 with free shipping on eBay. If I was a history teacher or professor that had a Gulf War, propaganda, or 1990s lesson, I’d definitely buy a set since it seems like it would be a fun thing to pass around class to get the students engaged

There are so many Bibles in existence multiple people have probably tried to give you a gratis one.
If not, still pretty simple to acquire one with just an email or phone call.
I wonder how the companies that print them turn a profit.

Sealed copies of the Best Buy exclusive Chinese Democracy album still pop up in my local Goodwill's new music spindle. They still have the Best Buy sticker, too.

But how else would we know that the Empire Imperium is trying to steal the villagers' wheat grain if it's not slapped over the entire merchandise line's packaging?

I have a goto answer for this. When Funko pops got popular they made way too many Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter. They were everywhere.

She has enough Nsync tat laying around her place.

Atari printed so many of that and Pac Man that each person with a 2600 would have to buy two copies each.

I seem to remember hearing that they produced more cartridges of it than there were Atari 2600s at the time. Is that correct? I think that was pacman

I seem to remember hearing that they produced more cartridges of it than there were Atari 2600s at the time. Is that correct? That was Pac-Man. Allegedly they printed up 12 million Pac-Man cartridges when they were only 10 million working Atari 2600s in existence. Ultimately they sold 7 million of them which is a huge accomplishment, but there were still 5 million on sold which when you factor in the production costs, they were unbelievably in the red because of that
