It just occurred to me how Bronson Reed be kicking much ass. Methinks that with some seasoning he could be slotted into the monster heel role Big Van Vader V2.0. I’m talking about Vader in his prime, not the “I’m a fat piece of shit” Vader we got in the twilight of his career. A true wrecking ball he is! I must say that I enjoy seeing Bronson Reed’ in action. He sells very well too. I feel that the sky’s the limit for this dude. Discuss.

Would help if he could start racking up some credible wins first.

I'm nowhere near there yet
Bronson's not really winning big matches. Until then I feel like he's one or two big losses from the company just not doing anything meaningful with him. This happens with one too many hosses.

He's definitely got potential to get to that level, I just hope WWE allows him to realize it.
Like, WCW Vader (before Hogan) was freakin' awesome, it would be cool to see someone else fill that void.

My thoughts on Bronson: His squash matches are a lot of fun, which puts him above guys like Omos and Veer already. He bumps really well for a super heavyweight. Based on how much I enjoyed their matches, you know what I think would be a really cool booking idea? Make Bronson and Lashley mortal enemies, but keep them on separate brands. They can bump into each other two or three times per year at PLEs or special cross-brand RAWs or whatever. If it's a multi-man match, like the Rumble or Elimination Chamber, they focus only on each other. If there's no match, they can spend the whole show beating the shit out of each other all around the building like Duggan and Race at the first Slammy Awards. They could run this feud for years and I wouldn't get tired of it.

I love the guy. I really get letting him go was their biggest mistake when they cleaned house of NXT wrestlers before. Having Roman add him as his new enforcer and let him & Solo just wreck everything as a tag team for a while.

He’s booked more like WWF Vader than WCW Vader much less Japan Vader. He looked like a beast at Elimination Chamber and then just looks like another guy a lot of the other time.
Gunther is the one true new Vader.

He could be the next Andre the Giant if he only shit himself after sitting on one of his opponents.

Still scratching my head they ever let this guy go, baffling decision that was thankfully rectified.

Vader was a talented guy who wasn't able to put it all together in WWF to reach a superstar level through a variety of factors so Bronson is definitely following in his footsteps so far.

He really is an awesome talent. Bigelow/Vader-esque. I can see him beating whoever dethrones Gunther for the IC Title, as Gunther moves up to the main event.

I really feel like he'd benefit from a name change. Picturing "The Man They Call Vader" being "Jimmy Swanson" and if he'd have the same career.
Presentation and booking need to better build him up, but WWE, the former land of the giants, hasn't been good at doing that kind of thing for their big men since early Braun.

Thought of this thread as I watched him lose clean tonight. Don't get me wrong as I love Nakamura. That said, five Naked someone else to go over. This is not how to book a powerful big man.

I do think they were trying to protect him in how he took three Kinshasas to beat and also them doing that idiotic, "Get in the ring at 9 then immediately lose," spot they love so damn much but it just raises the question of why have him in the match to begin with then. Not that I really especially mind - I see nothing in the dude personally and was actively rooting against him - but it's just kind of protect the dude or don't, you know?

Thing is, we probably still have this conversation whether he's "protected" or not. And if he'd won, we'd probably be saying this stuff about Nakamura instead. Ideally, you'd have an opponent that has credibility, but can also afford to lose, in this scenario. There's some in the first category, a lot in the second category, but like nobody in both.
