Would you approve of this? The only thing he has going against him is age, but I feel like we can get a nice 2 year main Event run out of him

Age and in-ring ability aside, he doesn't have the babyface appeal to be a good choice. A champion like Roman begs to be dethroned by a contender like Cody.

Yes - whatever about its narrative sense, Knight is a G and deserves all the monies.

40 really isn't that old in 2023. I dont really see that as a concern.

Literally every year a guy can have on top matters for making this investment pay off, and all the talent to actually begin losing to age matters, too.

I don't care who ends it as long as it's soon.

I don't think he's the guy. US champ, though, yeah, I'd be supportive of that.

No. Cody has got to finish his story after he beats Beastie Boy.

No. Cody has got to finish his story after he beats Beastie Boy. Then, by all means, Cody can absolutely drop it to LA Knight.

Isn’t the obvious answer Gable Stevenson whether we want it or not?

I think Knight should get a U.S. or IC title reign instead.

Cody's 38th birthday is at the end of the month. KO, Zayn and Drew are about the same age. Lashley, AJ, Sheamus, Rey, Edge, Brock and Finn are all over 40 so depending on health likely to retire or be close to it once the Reigns era is over. After that you have the "babies" Seth and GUNTHER at 35. WWE has an aging problem with regards to its male main eventers.

After that you have the "babies" Seth and GUNTHER at 35. WWE has an aging problem with regards to its male main eventers. That's why I brought up 'talent to begin losing to age'. A guy like Chris Jericho can still go strong and perform very well for being 52 because of how amazing he's always been as a wrestler. LA Knight is just not all that good as a wrestler; his mouth has always been his asset but he bounced out of WWE developmental multiple times before it finally clicked. If Cody does get it, yeah, 38 isn't super young, but I think he has neough talent to be able to fight age off and have a solid run at the top. I do agree that WWE has a massive age problem with its male main event, but time needs to be a factor in paying off this Roman run and it's not just a linear question of age, but I think LA Knight loses out on that front anyway as a performer.
