Interesting discussion came up in a Facebook group today. People asked if various characters could lift the mighty hammer of Thor.
Jesus Christ, The Flash, Goku. Everyone pretty much agreed on these.
But when Godzilla was mentioned... Debate was sparked. I argued, yes that he could.
What days you?

Which Godzilla? The original 1954 version…I’d say no. The version who became Earth”s protector against large scale threats? 100 percent yes. He legit saves the world over and over and asks for nothing in return.

I always find this kind of a pointless question since the rules on what exactly the threshold for Mjolnir is are very inconsistent and it kind of just does whatever the plot calls for. Though my immediate instinct is no.

There's a few different versions.
The 54 version isn't really evil. The only Godzilla that's really evil is the one from GMK, he's resurrected by the souls of the Japanese dead military and is purely & pretty awesomely evil.
I'd say Showa, Heisei and Monsterverse could def lift it.

Now, if he swallows the area around it, does that count?

I’m going to say no only because I enjoy the visual of Godzilla bending over and struggling.

Why would he need it? Guy has nuclear breath and it would look like a tooth-pick in his hands.

Could Godzilla microwave a burrito so hot that he himself could not eat it?

Godzilla needs no puny Norse hammer to destroy

If Godzilla wasn't worthy of Mjölnir and he ate the wielder... would the hammer just rip out of his stomach and go thud on the ground?

Only the combination of Godzilla, Jimmy Page, and Puff Daddy could collectively lift Mjolnir.
