Adrian Street had a hell of a career, and seemed like a really solid guy.
Also, 82 in wrestler years feels like living to be 117 years old.

In honour of the absolute legend that Adrian street was/is. I’m watching the documentary on him on the WWE network and I’ve raised a glass as they say to the great man. Speaking of the documentary it’s amazing to see guys like Regal and Robbie brookside, and Johnny saint who are all legends in the British wrestling scene showing so much respect to him.

Feels weird that this thread got repurposed instead of an actual RIP thread. A mod needs to change the title

He's another one of those guys that no one has a bad word to say about. It probably doesn't help that he'd twist you into a pretzel and make you slap yourself in front of god and everybody if you disrespected him.

The story of him beating the shit out Jimmy Savile is one of my favorites in wrestling.

Only got to see a few of his matches recently, but he's a name I'd heard about for years. Great wrestler.
Rest in peace, sir.

The fact that he beat the shit out of Jimmy Savile should put him in every wrestling hall of fame known to man.

Sucks Adrian Street passed away. One of my favourite old school wrestlers. His contributions to music will remain timeless to me. Very nice write up here www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-66361848This is definitely one of the best wrestling pictures ever I first became aware of him in around 2000 when I was looking for backyard wrestling gear, and found his "Bizarre Bazaar" wrestling gear shop I swear I have seen this photo being used in an album release but I can't put a finger on which one. I could be wrong though.

A solid worker and character whose impact on pro wrestling and culture was larger than anyone gave him credit for.
He brought color to pro wrestling in a way not even Gorgeous George could manage. Beyond color, he merged music, fashion, drama and sport a decade before The Rock 'n' Wrestling Connection ushered WWE into homes across North America. A wide array of wrestling's most colorful and creative gimmicks simply would not have been conceived without Street's influence. If they wore bodypaint or outrageous ring gear or both, Adrian Street had done it first.
We shan't see his like again.

I listened to what Jim Cornette said about Adrian Street and he said that he learned a lot from Adrian. Cornette was new to the business and Adrian Street was the first guy he managed in a main event program. He travelled with him and Miss Linda while they worked in Memphis and Adrian taught him a lot about British wrestling. Adrian and Miss Linda were both very self-sufficient because they made their own gear and even made their own dishes for their home.
