NWA screwed themselves over SO HARD with that cocaine spot.
Great job Billy.

As it relates to Raw, Meltzer said on WOR that the rumors right now are FX, USA and WBD.

Where would they even go on WBD since AEW is there? Feels like a weird mix

In theory WBD could have both WWE and AEW programming on their channels. Multiple television networks air both the NFL along with the XFL and USFL. ESPN has rights to UFC and PFL. The main issue is the financial aspect (it would cost a decent amount to keep both) and WWE has a history of ensuring they sign exclusive deals with their partners in the realm of pro wrestling so that may push AEW elsewhere if it were to happen. But for the record, Meltzer called that a long shot and said FX or USA are the leading candidates.

Billy Corgan deserves every negative wrestling award this year over this lmfao
The man f***ed up getting NWA on a network because he pushed for a cocaine angle to happen on the last PPV
This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen a promoter do since Dixie screwed TNA with that accidental email to Spike executives
If I were a part of NWA's roster I'd strongly consider not being a part of it anymore if I heard I was gonna be on national TV and because of my promoter being f***ing braindead, I now wasn't and instead WWE got the deal lmfao

If the choice was NWA vs. WWE, they'd always go WWE and this was probably in the works for weeks. I suspect the NWA talks were overblown, but I still think Corgan's a shmuck.

This raises some questions because NXT's deal was never officially disclosed to my knowledge but I always heard much larger yearly numbers than $15 million.

They probably intended to have both.

I'd believe that - WWE doesn't normally want other companies on their networks.

Even in that event, Billy blew it by doing the dumbest shit imaginable It looks as bad as it can get optics wise that NWA's deal went south over a bad booking decision and NXT got a deal. Both could have happened, but it really doesn't negate what's being said about Corgan tbh

So....if CW planned to have both, and potentially even had agreed to something with Billy Pumpkins - are we looking at another MLW/Fox situation?
Though, thanks to the coke spot, I'd assume even if NWA and CW has something agreed, that spot would likely be a good cause for any case to never get off the ground.

I guess we can consider the ? ditched.
And unless something happens in the next couple of weeks, the person to determine where Raw will end up could still be Adam Silver.

But like, did it? It's not like the CW would choose James Mitchell doing coke over a highly popular WWE property and WWE typically wants exclusivity. It can be pointed at as an angle that genuinely turned some fans off for good, but I still think it's a stretch to say it impacted a TV deal.
