So if I'm reading that right, it's: Celtics: Porzingis, the 25th pick in 2023, GSW's 2024 pick Grizzlies: Smart Wizards: Jones If so, that's a much better trade for the Wizards, and a much harder pill to swallow for the Celtics. Getting KP in the original deal was a good move, but losing Smart is going to hurt them. It's tough losing Smart. Sure, his shot selection was maddening but the man made all the hustle plays. And his toughness will be missed especially on a team whose mental toughness is in question. But his play started to slip last year. Maybe a result of all those dives to the floor (and flops  ). And with Derrick White's ascension the Celtics felt they could move on. KP's injury history is a cause for concern but the Celtics felt they had to take a risk. They couldn't just run things back. And there aren't many trades for Jaylen that wouldn't be a downgrade. |

So I don't follow the NBA like I do MLB or NFL so maybe one of yall can explain to me why the Wizards are blowing the team up now instead of last year? Like is there another prospect coming next draft or in 25 on the Wembanyama tier of hype that they're eyeing? Short answer is Wizards have operated poorly. They’ve had 3 years to trade Beal and should have traded Kuz and also KP They’d probably be up 10 draft picks right now |

Still hasn't sank in we're getting Wemby. The excitement in the city is crazy. Of course health and durability are the biggest questions but the skills and size and maturity make it really exciting.

Marcus Smart would probably be best suited on a young team in need of a veteran presence or a little toughness. I think he'd flop on a veteran-led team because the established players would see right through his BS. A trade that makes sense for both sides would be something like Smart to San Antonio for Zach Collins. The Spurs need a veteran with an edge, but Gregg Popovich could stomp out Smart's worst instincts, and Boston needs a big who can spell Robert Williams or Al Horford. It's a good thing I'm not the Celtics' general manager. So all this shit happens and we don’t get brogdon and we kept Marcus morris? Nah. Nah. Nah. I’m gonna hit the blunt and pray to the lord, this f***ing sucks. We were almost free. Adam silver you bald headed skank fix this I beg you The one upside is that you guys might have gotten Brogdon on a substantial debuff or worse, because his medicals were enough for The Clippers' medical staff to go OH HANG ON WTF IS THIS at like the very last minute when they already knew about his elbow injury. |

So I'm trying to find a small forward in my 2000 run of Basketball GM and LOOK AT THIS f***ING CONTRACT DUDE  Immediately had to look up if this was real and not only is it real but it's even wackier  What's not shown on here is that Golden State sent dude over to Cleveland, but they never played him once. Next year dude goes to Utah and also doesn't get played, then dude goes overseas for the rest of his career. God tier run. |
