As a guy who suffered from nearly 20 years of Wings dominance (including pantsing mes Habs seemingly every time they played) from 1993 to 2013 or so I can't help but laugh at the decline.

I think my hatred of Detroit peaked during their “Legends of Hockey” era in the early 2000’s where it seemed like they were the premiere destination for 90’s all stars at the tail end of their career |

I think my hatred of Detroit peaked during their “Legends of Hockey” era in the early 2000’s where it seemed like they were the premiere destination for 90’s all stars at the tail end of their career I see more of a Rangers/Leafs thing. Who really ended up in Detroit? Off the top of my head, Hull, Modano, Chelios and Hasek? Though I’m sure I’ve forgotten some. |

In true Maple Leafs tradition, John Tavares got points 999 and 1000 in Long Island, 1000 being an assist on the tying goal with 7 seconds left and then lost in OT. This f***ing team makes my head hurt some days

Was at Bruins/Devils last night, and it really did turn into one of the better games I've seen in awhile. Took me back a bit to the circa 2005-2012 games these clubs would play, low scoring but really tense, both teams close to breaking out but the defense and goaltending keeps it tied, that kind of thing.
Though on the Devils' side, wonder if Vitek Vanecek heard the Devils might be engaging with the Ducks on a goalie trade, because dude's looked like he's all the way awake the last couple of games after being shaky as hell all season.
