Oilers win getting outshot 35-10. I feel like the Panthers are better at everything than them except the power play. Better defense. Better goaltending. Better 5-on-5 play. More balanced scoring.

Team just straight up disappeared in the conference finals. Heck of a season but what a deflating ending.
On to the next season! Let’s see who stays and who goes.

This is going to be a difficult season to predict. Like Mcdavid and Leon are better than anyone the Rangers have to combat Florida's depth. But Skinner isn't close to Igor Shesterkin. Without a super goalie, Florida sweeps and scores 4 plus goals a game. I'd like to see the Canada curse end, but I'm gonna predict Panthers in 5.

So, slightly funny story: I have a family friend who's married to a guy who works in the NHL's media office. As such, he needs to attend Game 1 of the Final, and then be at any game where the Cup *might* be won, which would mean potentially having to travel between the two cities involved nearly every other day.
They have kids at home, so travel for stuff like this can be tough. At the start of the playoffs I jokingly said "I'm going to laugh so hard when the Final is Edmonton vs. Florida, then it's some all-timer series where one team goes up 3-0 but it ends up going seven."
Uh...whoops.
Guess it's not quite as bad as I said it could get...yet. But yeah, distance-wise the worst matchup would've been Vancouver vs. Florida, but the flight between Edmonton and south Florida is actually two hours longer than flying to British Columbia.

Pavs officially retiring. Really wish it could have ended better, hopefully he’ll stick around and keep mentoring the young’uns like he has been.

Its a hockey tradition to have the trophies named after people who just donated them or executives Hell, the Stanley Cup is named after a Governor General of Canada who donated the trophy to a hockey club. |

That whole San Jose crew all deserved to lift the Cup at least once. I was trying to figure out which Ex-Sharks in the Thornton era won a cup after leaving. The only two that come to mind are Brian Campbell and Barclay Goodrow. |

I love hockey, but do the people from northern states and Canada like watching as we creep into summer? If my team is eliminated, I genuinely lose interest in the NBA and NHL playoffs as the summer gets better.
We only get so much sun up here and i'd rather not waste it in my living room, which I use a lot during the other 8 months of the year
