I hope the Bruins win, I know I am a head of myself, and I have no dog in this fight at least with the hockey teams, but I would love to see a Rangers / Bruins conference finals with the Knicks / Celtics playing in the NBA Eastern Conference finals at the same time, just for the chaos of the two cities sharing the same arenas playing at the same time.

Woll out is bigger than Matthews being in. He was a wall.

Too many ticky tack penalties. This is a Game 7! Let 'em play.

Boston is playing some of the most lackadaisical hockey they've played all year. The same can be said of Mitch Marner who I only remember seeing on the ice once because he passed into a teammates skates. The guy whose best asset is his passing hitting a wide open defenseman in the feet with a pass. Still a good game, but these teams are far from being at their best.

Feel like Boston should have gotten at least 3 on a cold Samsonov.

And we’re getting a game 7 in Boston There is something absolutely ingrained in the Bruins' DNA that they need to make things as difficult as possible for themselves in the playoffs. This is the SIXTH TIME since 2004 that the Bruins have held a 3-1 series lead, yet have been forced to play a seventh game. (Montreal 2004, Philadelphia 2010, Toronto 2013, Toronto 2018, Florida 2023, Toronto 2024). The Bruins also haven't won a Game 7 since 2019, haven't won an overtime playoff game since 2021 (they're 8-14 in playoff OT games since the 2013 Stanley Cup Final), and haven't recorded a playoff sweep since 2019. They're the most un-clutch team in hockey and I am not at all confident about their chances heading into Saturday night. Forget about recent history, this just looks like a team that is playing with no life over the past two games. In games 5 and 6 against Toronto, they played both first periods looking like they'd just woken up from a wicked hangover. If they show up Saturday with that effort, they'll be making tee times by the first intermission. I forgot the most important factor: the Bruins were playing Toronto in Game 7.

Pasta just saved Jim Montgomery's job. If the Bruins lost, he would've been fired for sure.

That’s what I get for doubting the guys! To quote the local broadcast, Vegas’ bid for a second straight cup is now on LTIR. That was way too intense for a first round series. Going from the Knights to the damn Avs, this conference is such a bloodbath.

Me as a Kings fan watching Vegas get eliminated: Judging by the reaction I’d say that’s every fanbase right now. Stars seem to be the biggest babyfaces in hockey at the moment.

Well that series took 5 years from me. Damn shame the cup defense ended in the first round. But it's not like they rolled over this was a heavyweight slug fest with game 2 being the only game to have more than a 1 goal difference. Idk if the Stars will beat the Avs with the rest difference and all but they definitely have momentum and in the playoffs sometimes that's better than rest
