NHL: don't elbow people. Trouba: Jacob Trouba splatting face-first into the glass after whiffing on an attempted flying elbow is proof that maybe karma is real after all.

He gets tripped, but his elbow is already out and he gets tripped in the first place because the skater knows that Trouba is going to try and Trouba him.

I'll say what I say every @#$%ing time that piece of shit tries to end another career: he's the most protected player in the NHL, the league and even the analysts do nothing but worship him, and there's no logical reason why.
The mother@#$%er took Sydney by God Crosby, one of the league's golden boys and a legitimate ratings draw, out of the playoffs with an elbow, and the league did nothing about it. He routinely aims to injure, and most frequently does it via elbow; it's not a case of "oh, the guy who got hit just wasn't keeping his head up", it's not leading with a shoulder or a body blow, he blatantly aims to injure and concuss with his @#$%ing elbow, and the NHL does nothing about it, and actually goes out of their way to praise him, instead.

I still don't know why Trouba is the Rags' captain. You figure it'd be someone like Kreider. Not a glorified goon.

Just the other day I was wondering: How often throughout NHL history has any game regressed to abnormal power play related counts? I know there has been plenty of 4-on-4s and 5-on-3s in games, but any 4-on-3s? Or even fewer? I was kinda hoping that five-pack of misconducts would result in a 3-on-2.

This Panthers/Bruins game is an ass whooping and a wild mess at the same time. Nothing but chaos all 3rd period. Tkachuk, who I dislike, just beat Pastrnak's ass. Marchand, who I loathe, got into it and secured one of like 10 game misconducts handed out. I had to work for Game 1, but after this, Game 3 will be must-watch.

You can't have less then 3 on the Ice. Its why they add a player to the powerplay in 3 on 3 OT

That Nashville catfish playoffs commercial is perfect. The NHL has long needed to market the game better, and this is a step in the right direction.

Carolina has SO much talent. And the only thing they have more of than talent is turnovers.

The Rangers' ability to often be the worse team on the ice yet win all the time is insanely frustrating and awful to watch.
For all that is holy, don't let these assholes win the Cup this year.

The Rangers are on a nine game winning streak, 17-3 in last 20 games, 22-5 in last 27, 40-0-1 when scoring 4 goals and the only undefeated team in the playoffs so far at 7-0. Scariest team in the NHL for a reason! Last time they started 7-0 was in 1994, the last time they won the Stanley Cup.
Pinching myself, between the Rangers & the Knicks it is actually a good time to be a NY sports fan??
