To be fair, the travel between the two cities is insane, so it was partly for player health/safety.

But wow, wow, wow, hell of a finish to this series. Watching the Oilers nearly collapsing in exhaustion at the end just told the story, like a wrestling match where one of the finalists just has his body give out before the finishing sequence.
