hello! after watching that segment where jey finally was done with the bloodline, I was super excited but the lasting thought I've had was "holy f***, that double superkick on roman was one of the best things i've seen in years" considering how they had to nail that moment makes it even better too, he got absolutely destroyed with that kick and i think it might be the best sell of a move in a promo that i've ever seen to make things interesting, it must be in a promo or some sort of segment. no in match examples BUT if a match doesn't officially start and it happens like a pre-match beatdown, that is eligible. what say you FAN? Edit: it says logal paul and since i find that comical, it is staying. logal paul drinks bodyarmor and donates to charity

Salmon-suit Henry almost had me believing he was really retiring.
Because no one in a work would wear a suit that bad.

Salmon-suit Henry almost had me believing he was really retiring. Because no one in a work would wear a suit that bad. Oh yeah that's a good call! This is a good example, it can be a "sell" of something that isn't a particular move. In this type of example, I'd say Bischoff at the Billy & Chuck wedding 100%.

Cena, usually unflappable and always getting the last word in during promos, responding to Punk's "You have become the New York Yankees" by hauling off and punching him was fantastic.

I'm kinda torn on RVD's selling of the Frog Splash (I mean, the selling itself is great) because why would it hurt him and apparently no one else who does the move? And why would anyone be dumb enough the have a finisher that also hurts you? Just pick a different one.

Triple H going from smug to terrified when Mankind became Cactus Jack. As Mick's pointed out over the years, had Triple H taken the reveal coolly or smugly, the gimmick in that moment would have been dead in the water, but his expression makes it all work.

Jey Uso in the past year (and his 2020 feud with Roman) is maybe the best selling/acting I've seen in wrestling. A lot of times wrestlers trying to act results in over the top cheesiness and that still works by wrestling standards usually but Jey's believably pulled off a guy on the verge of a nervous breakdown multiple times. Triple H going from smug to terrified when Mankind became Cactus Jack. That was my first thought. That Raw (or Smackdown?) was one of the first shows I watched live when I was a kid and I didn't know much about Cactus Jack but HHH's reaction was enough to realize this Rumble match was going to be a big deal.

Triple H going from smug to terrified when Mankind became Cactus Jack. Bonus points for doing it twice. Hunter really sold the terror of facing a madman like Cactus. And I liked how he told Steph he had to do it himself, like Cactus was the last hurdle as a wrestler, the last ghost to exercise in his rise to a Main Event player. It terms of recent in ring sells, both go to Gunther vs. Ilja and Mox vs. Hangman when they tapped the f*** out at the end of their matches. It wasn't some drawn out mess but a show of how dangerous a submission hold, or in Moxley's case a metal chain, around the neck can be. Like Gorilla said, sometimes it's best to give it up to avoid permanent injury.

Punk's sheer terror of being unmasked by Big Show and having his baldness exposed to the fans. Dude was 100% committed to the bit:

I always just took it as him trying to show his frog splash has higher impact than others out there. Of course, given people didn't tend to kick out of Eddie's or D'lo's, either, yeah, maybe he could afford to settle for 3 or 4 stars.

Shawn and HHH pretending to be Vince and Shane McMahon will always hold a special place in my heart... I don't know how either of them made it through it without dying laughing.

Hey say what you want, but Bad News Barrett looked really offended when Lawler said "Maybe next week, you won't be around!"

Like Gorilla said, sometimes it's best to give it up to avoid permanent injury. And it made sense in kayfabe. The last time Mick busted out Cactus, HHH was soundly beaten. He needed to exercise that demon. I kno Mick has said the original plan was a heel Cactus and a feud with The Rock, but this was far better.
