They're fine but they should seek out a mentor from the guys they knew through their Dad as kids. Start with uncle Bart. Maybe hint at meeting Road Dogg off screen and start doing their version of his intro.
Eventually they could settle on Paul Wight as a very reluctant mentor, essentially the Foley to their E&C.

I like them, I've watched them from match one and I've seen their growth, and it's been substantial to their DARK matches
I know they get a lot of hate because they won the tag belts, but I feel like they've found themselves since, they cut good promos, they're great at being the heels they are, and if they join Bullet Club Gold, it's a perfect fit imo
And their Many Men entrance might be a top 10 AEW entrance of all time lol

They're comfortable being what they are as characters which is something you either have or don't, in my opinion.
The nuts and bolts of wrestling a match can be worked on much easier than the intangibles.

They're more tolerable now that they're developing their own identity past "Billy Gunn's Kids".
Watching them early in their careers was annoying. It was glorified cosplay.

I actually thought they did pretty good in that match against the Hardy's. I was expecting much worse and it was fine?
My main issue with them is Tony not ponying up the money for "Many Men" permanently. The song suits them so well in many ways.

I like them. Colten's the weaker link between the two, but he's also considerably less experienced and quite obviously working hard, so I don't begrudge him his spot.
Austin has been one I've been fond of since the lockdown era, with him being so ridiculous at ringside and bringing a lot of energy. As good as 3.0 are, part of me wonders sometimes how, in another world, the Gunns would have fared in the JAS. I feel like they could have played the sycophantic role well.

The Ass Boys get a little too much outright hate that it all seems performative, they're a solid midcard heel tag team that can run their mouth and get beaten up without having to be built up or pushed especially hard. They've also got an awesome entrance and will fit absolutely fine in the Bang Bang Gang with Juice and Switch.
Also they do this basically every Dynamite that they have a match on and it's a real commitment to the bit.

I like 'em but they shouldn't have got the belts. Not ready for them and their reign was crap.
You'd already done Acclaimed vs FTR and Acclaimed won, there would've been no issue having FTR return, beat the Gunns in a no.1 contenders match and then beat the Acclaimed for the titles. You'd have gotten a great title match with a hot crowd, and the series would be 1-1, leaving the door open for the rubber match down the road.
Anyway back to the Gunns, they do what they do very well and are ever-improving on the mic and in the ring.

They're an excellent midcard tag team. Clear gimmick, personalities, get heat and can lose to anyone and it won't impact on their presence. That kind of role is a lost art and the show holistically is better for their presence.
