...You've never sat down to watch them, or you have, but you've seen very little of the actual thing
Eastenders would probably be my choice. You couldn't escape chatter about it at school, the stars were always being interviewed on Saturday Morning TV, there were tie-in books, everyone knew who the Mitchell brothers were and their departures were a big deal (and Ross Kemp went on to be a hardass documentarian), and the controversies over bringing back Dirty Den and the scandals his actor brought with him. Ian Beale is the Chuck Brown of the show. The live episode. Doctor Who crossover (which I did watch and am not sorry for), but as far as ever plonking down to sit and actually watch even a week's worth? I've never got around to it.

Dallas. For some unknown reason there's always questions in quizzes about it. Drives me mad, it's not a show that's constantly shown and rediscovered each generation.
I've learned a lot as a result of that and the whole who shot JR thing.

A couple years back I decided to do a deep dive into the 60's Avengers TV series for reasons I completely forget now. Learned up all about its lost episodes and cast changes and all of the details of the show. Never did get around to watching an episode though.

This is cheating just a little but, Dragonball Z. I was the perfect age for it, many of my friends loved it. I decided to watch an episode and see what the hype was about. In the episode Goku was powering up while facing cell, so there was a lot of him yelling and glowing. Then it would flash to a few other characters in a jet talking about how they had to get there to help Goku as quickly as possible. It basically just switched between those two scenes with one small scene about something else. That was it. That was the episode. Nothing happened. Goku was still powering up, his friends were still rushing to get to him. I never watched another episode again.

You never saw an episode with Emma Peel where she kicks, really, really high???

A great deal of it shapes social media meme humour today and has been a part of multiple generations childhoods....I've never watched Spongebob either, yet have soaked up everything about like a literal sponge.

Not a show, but I know far too much of the lore of the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise despite having ZERO interest in actually playing the games. My heart doesn’t need that stress.

I wouldn't say I know EVERYTHING about it, but I am familiar with a lot of Happy Days -- the Fonz, jumping the shark, Chuck Cunningham syndrome etc and know the names of the characters and Arnold's Diner.
Never watched an episode,

But when it was on Cartoon Network couldn't goto the comic shop and not hear 10 kids talking about it. Add in by then all my cousin's kids were teh age to be watching it.

Yeah, this was the series that taught me the concept of filler episodes.
I also feel like that meme where the guy is going "do you have any idea how little that narrows it down?"

If you’re still interested, Pluto TV has picked up all surviving seasons of the series (at least in the US; not sure about the international rights). FWIW, I dug this show in reruns, though I hadn’t gotten to watch a lot of it. Enjoying getting to fill in some holes now. But as you probably know, the Rigg seasons were when Hollywood started pumping money into the show, so the seasons before that are a bit rough looking.

I went on a date with a girl to the Star Trek reboot (08 or 09) and was telling her characters and old plot points.
She asked, “You know a lot about this. So you're a big Star Trek fan?”
I said, “No, I’ve never actually seen it.”

I feel like I have an absolute ton of knowledge of Buffy even though I've seen like four episodes and they were mostly season six.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been a pop culture junkie and there are soooo many shows that I know a ton about, despite having seen like five or fewer episodes.
If something is part of the cultural zeitgeist, I like to know about it.
