Quite impressive. It was even higher than the equivalent episode last year, which had a Cena appearance.

Cohesive storytelling is everything. Being able to just book Zayn/Gunther and have it mean something on a random Raw is a huge deal. Ditto for the connectedness between Melo/Rollins at the moment that affords Melo that spot against Finn. The shizz is just clicking.

Very weird - there wasn't anything really advertised that was big/different from previous weeks. And even if you enjoyed the show (I thought it was just there), that doesn't really lead to a rating necessarily. When you're hot though, you can do a good number sometimes independent of the card.

Raw only got higher than 0.61 once in the whole of 2022 and that was the night after Mania. The unusual streak continues of Raw doing better numbers in the 2-3 months post-Mania than they were in Jan-Apr which has happened like 2-3 times in 30 years. I didn't think numbers would go down post-Mania with people mad at Cody losing. I thought they would go down no matter what even if he won because it's usually what happens every year. For whatever reason they're bucking the trend this year though.
On paper Gunther/Sami, Finn/Melo, Cody/Priest, Nakamura/Ricochet and Ronda/Raquel is a strong TV card but I'm not sure if any of those were even advertised ahead of time to be able to credit them with the number. I think it's just the general momentum of the show. People love Cody. People love Seth. People love Sami/KO. People love Becky. There's a good crop of top faces carrying the show right now helped by heels like JD and Gunther.
It might not have the gravity of the Bloodline stuff but I think Raw is a much stronger overall show than Smackdown and I kinda expected that to be the case with how the draft went. I honestly think their ratings are even more impressive than Smackdown's too considering on paper they have a bunch of disadvantages. Like what numbers could Raw be doing right now if they didn't have the 3rd hour bringing the average down, if they were on network v cable, if they got all the big Bloodline moments instead of Smackdown, etc?
