Nothing that I watched when it happened can possibly be 30 years old. Thirty years ago was the 1960s. This is a vicious lie.

I've always thought Crush kayfabed not being able to slam Yoko, and considering he probably didn't help at all, the height is really impressive.

This was the day Lex inexplicably accused Mr Fuji of being a parasite on America, despite Fuji working consistently for decades and presumably paying taxes.

Watching this again, I know it's a meme, but, that's definitely a scoop slam. Not an especially great one, but he's definitely slamming Yoko.

Even more impressive considering Crush was also a good bit taller then Yoko as well. Always looked like he could've slammed him and then remembered he wasn't supposed to and sold hurting his back.

I always found it funny how other then Crush and of course Luger who actually did it, the only other guy who was able to get Yoko off his feet was Bill Fralic. Kind of made all these guys like the Steiners, Savage, and Tatanka look like crap when they couldn't even come close and yet this football dude did way better. It actually looked like he was trying shoot slam him and Yoko had to actually dead weight him to stop him as he genuinely looked surprised.

I lost my life savings betting on the jockey! Luckily I was like 10 and my life savings was $2.73.

It looked like Yoko was struggling not to get slammed by those non wrestling athletes and the ref broke them up when he noticed it. Bruce Pritchard said in a podcast about it being hot and Yoko didn’t like the heat but Fuji made sure he wouldn’t try to leave.

Not only that, he apparently kicked Yoko’s flip flops off to the side so he had to stand barefoot on the blazing hot deck.
